In settings change system frequency to NTSC if you only have 24 fps available. Or no 60fps option. It's in the wrench icon menu list but the wrench with no C beside it.

If you switch to NTSC, you get 30fps in 4K and 60fps in Full HD.

Can you set Autofocus when doing VFR? can't seem to do it and no info online so far. Best regards and great video!

No, unfortunately not. AF is possible with the FZ1000, but no longer with the FZ2000. Don't know why only MF is available anymore for the VFR with the FZ2000. Manual focus slows everything down when you need to be fast for insect shots for example.

How can I quickly switch from slow motion to normal? Is there a setting button I can turn it on and off easily instead of going through this long menu?

Do you have the English manual? You can find the information on page 169. First select the recording format that supports the Variable Frame Rate. Then set Slow/Quick to ON. When recording is in progress, press the Fn2 key to record in slow motion.

So there is no way to shoot slow motion/high fps 4k footage? It only allows me to go into variable frame rate mode while I am using 1920x1080 FHD size when I need to shoot in 4K.

Slow motion in 4K is not available for this camera. For KZbin however it is better to export the Full HD recordings in 4K in order to get better picture quality on KZbin.

I do think that you will notice a difference. You'll also need to edit the slow motion footage. Depending on the lighting conditions, undesirable noise can occur. You definitely have to remove that and edit the recordings. DaVinci Resolve has an option called Superscale that allows you to upscale Full HD footage to 4K. But I haven't used the option yet because I mostly film in 4K. Perhaps it is better to record at 200 Mbits in Full HD at 60 fps and slow down the recordings in 30 fps in post-production. This will probably not work with such water shots, but with other slow motion shots it will, as I saw on KZbin.

Dolly Zoom Effect is not available when Slow/Quick, 4K Live Cropping, or Variable Frame Rate is set. Set "Rec Format" on "MOV or MP4 (LPCM)". Then set "Rec Quality" to "FHD 100M 30p / VFR avaiable". "Dolly Zoom" can now be set to ON when Slow/Quick, 4K Live Cropping, and Variable Frame Rate is OFF.

What exactly do you mean by which format? I have never filmed a wedding with the FZ2000, but I would use Photo Style STD and set 4K 30fps or FHD 200Mbits. For post-processing I would use DaVinci Resolve.

Claudinchenchen thanks I can switch it now. I still have some issues with grain in slow motion compared to regular speed. Do you know how to fix that? I’ve tried lowering the iso and raising exposure but it doesn’t help

​@@joshbandy4268 You need enough light. Otherwise slow motion shots get noisy when shot with a camera have a smaller sensor. However, you can remove the grain in post-production with a noise removal tool. You can also sharpen the slow motion recording and make a tonal correction. In the future I will do a test with DaVinci Resolve noise reduction tool. Actually, it should be removed with this tool.

Freut mich, dass Dir die Anleitung gefällt! Da musste ich auch suchen, damals als ich die FZ2000 bekam. Bei der FZ1000 war dies anders und ganz einfach einzustellen. Deinen neuen Freund habe ich mir schon angesehen. Hier in der Gegend habe ich noch keinen dieser Art gesehen. Vielleicht muss man nach ihm in einem Garten suchen? ;-)
