As always, very useful information about live composite on G9 II . Thank you so much Marlene!

This is brilliant. I’ve had my G100 for 18 months but always assumed that live view composite was for higher end cameras. When I found out today that it has live view composite my immediate thought was whether you’d done a video on using it for LUMIX cameras. And there it was. Thank you.
@ImageMaven8 күн бұрын
Well I'll be darned! I never even looked for that menu on my G100. LOL. Thanks for educating me!

I love this feature, awesome for an alternative to traditional long exposures. Used it for a long exposure shot of a Ferris Wheel at night in my city. Turned out great!

@@mattevanst4967 That sounds cool. Always nice to have some moving lights in these shots.

Thank you Marlene. Always interesting and clear tutorials. Still shooting with the G9, I will get a G9 II eventually no doubt about that.

Thank you for watching. The G9 has stop motion and time lapse, which are also fun. I’m still shooting with the G9 too. Great camera.

Live view composite is also great for fireworks.

Yes, of course! I forgot about that. Thx.

Fireflies are a great Live View Composite subject.

That would be fun. Not many where I live but I’ll keep that idea on my list.

Hello, thanks for the video, a question how do you manage to half presse the triger of the G9 ? any advice ?
@ImageMaven25 күн бұрын
Yes it’s a bit sensitive. I think you’ll get it in time once you get used to it. Perhaps, a few photo walks will help.

Looks fun! …btw it looks like your OM1 allows for Jpegs in live view composite, if you want.
@ImageMaven27 күн бұрын
Hi Gordon, yes fun indeed! Hopefully OM-1 gives raw files as well. It’s the raw files I want in this case.

Hi Marlene 👋. I must admit I was really looking forward to having Live Composite on my G9ii, but found it a little disappointing when I tried it for he recent Aurora, I now realise that’s not the best tool to use and must get out and try it for car light trails and lightning when we next get a storm.
@ImageMaven27 күн бұрын
Hi Sue, yes aurora isn’t ideal, as they move too much and too quickly by comparison. You can usually capture them in a much shorter exposure time, depending on the brightness. I’m happy you tried it out though! Thank you for stopping by.

I've had my OM-1 just over a year, I figure it's about time I started exploring live composite. Still struggling with the difference between live comp, live time, and live bulb, though!
@ImageMaven27 күн бұрын
I haven’t heard of Live time, or live bulb. But I’ve not used the OM-1 very much. Time to dig into the manual on that camera. Thanks for watching and for the nudge.

Hi marlene im new here, just wondering what lens was used on the star trail photos? Ive acquired a g100d recently, and was curious as to if the kit lens could achieve this result (12-32mm) or with a g vario 100-300 tele? I realize i should buy a wide angle but ive just spent 500$ for the tele lens for lunar photography 🥴
@ImageMaven10 күн бұрын
Depends on what you want to show. I used my Pana Leica 15mm f1.7 for the star trails in this video but I also use my 9mm f1.7 for Astro, because it gives an even wider view. I prefer fast primes but it’s better to start with what you have so yes, use the 12-32mm. I’m just not sure that the G100D can do Live View composites. Check your camera manual. Let me know if it does. Have fun!
