At timecode 4:04, thats not a S5ii, thats a GH6! As there is a 10-25mm lens in shot? You are using a GH6 and not even a S5ii!

I'm going to invest in my first full frame and I'm completely undecided between the Sony A7SIII and the Lumix S5IIX. Sony seems very reliable to me, but I have doubts mainly due to the lack of updates and also because it is an older camera. On the other hand, I have an amazing recent camera with a great price, but which raises questions about Rolling Shutter and 60 fps cropping. What would I recommend? I've been in this cruel doubt for months! 😅

I don't think thats what AWB lock is, its more like once you start recording, or while you're holding down the shutter, the WB setting will be maintained. So it will be on AWB but WB won't change over the course of the video or mid burst.

It sucks that PDAF doesn't work on anything higher than fullframe 30fps on FDH. :( I live off of 60fps and slow motion for my wedding films, and it just sucks that it's not gonna be for me.

I have my heart set on an S5 II (or S5 IIX). My preference would be the IIX, but patience is not one of my strong points. And by the time May rolls around, we might all be talking about leaked specs for an S1 II / S1H II.

Olympus kind of has auto white balance look. With Olympus when you hit the AEL button it's locked and too unlock it you need to hit it again. Other companies the lock ends when your thumb comes off the button.

How do I change my shutter speed on manual mode? It doesn’t allow me to do so. I do product photography, so I like to make my frame very dark and use my godox lights. I used to drop my shutter speed on my A7III to make it dark but i don’t know how to do this on my S5II

You might want to wait if you need a hybrid since RAW files aren't supported yet. And you cant even export them as DNG - So big bummer

I really do think those cameras complement each other more than they overlap. S5ii for low light and auto focus and GH6 for everything else.

Nikon user here, Nikon don't get credit for this but you don't beed AWB lock because auto AWB works, also auto iso.

Proatv had an interesting video showing the 4K on the original S5 is noticeably sharper than the S5ii. But the 6k was the sharpest. So I’d record 6k if I were you due to that potential issue with the internal downsampling.

Hey Tom, the US hasn't even released the camera yet so I'm guessing it will be available as a patch in the coming days. US official release is the 31st
