ചാന്നാർ എത്ര നല്ല പേര്.ചാണപ്പയല്കള് എന്ന് മേൽജാതി ക്കാർ അവമതി ച്ചപ്പോൾ ഈ പേര് മാറ്റി നാടാർ എന്ന് മാറ്റാൻ 1921ൽ സർക്കാർ നോട്‌ ചാന്നാർ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. സാമ്പത്തിക ശേഷി ഉള്ളവർക്കു പണിക്കർ, ചാന്നാർ എന്ന് പേര് കിട്ടിയത് മാർത്താണ്ട വർമ യുടെ കാലത്താണ്. പണം ഉള്ളവന്.......

ചാന്നാർ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് ഈഴവ സമുദായത്തിലെ ചില പ്രമാണിമാർക്ക് കൊടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥാനപ്പേരാണ് എന്നാൽ നാടാർ സമുദായത്തിന് പറയുന്ന പേര് ഷാന്നാർ എന്നാണ് പക്ഷേ പറഞ്ഞുപറഞ്ഞ് നാടാർ വിഭാഗത്തെയും ഈഴവ വിഭാഗത്തെയും ചാന്നാർ എന്ന ഒറ്റ പേരിൽ പലരും തെറ്റിദ്ധരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു തിരുവിതാംകൂറിൽ നടന്ന സമരം ചാന്നാർ ലഹള അല്ല അത് ഷാന്നാർ ലഹളയാണ് ചാന്നാർ ലഹള അല്ല

The Travancore Maharaja was the first person in the State to own a car. Channar would have been the second person and had to get the approval of the Maharaja to buy the car. He also had to address his Nair driver respectfully as angunne (which translates as something equivalent to “Your Lordship”). But his driver called his employer eda which is how human beings perceived to be of a lower order were called in Malayalam by Nairs and Brahmins. When the Chevrolet had to cross a temple, Channar had to get off his vehicle and pass through back alleys to reach his car on the other side since Ezhavas were not allowed to cross temple entrances upfront. But his driver would just ride past the temple door. Similarly, Channar had to get off his car and stand to attention respectfully each time he came across any European along the road. Glad that Kerala has come a long way from those dark ages

Channar 's srvents were Nairs. They usually called the member.s of Channar family was "kunj "". Channars were higher than nairs. I have visited this Meda in 2000.

Nairs have no history on their own. Only with സംബന്ധം they became royals. Ezhavars were the original inhabitants and kings of yester years villava billava channar kings and nobles and traditional doctors etc തറവാട് ആൻഡ് illam panikkar etc only belonged to ezhavas❤😂
