Hmm interesting, thanks. Top is reduced in plugin significantly with the adjustment you used, as you said. Likely could be further adjusted and match the two. Because apart from that, it's hard to notice differences if there is anything at all. It is a very good plugin.

First, excellent video! The hardware seems to have just a very small bit more depth from front to back.

The top end of the hardware print seems to have a little bit more sizzle. But that plugin sounds amazing

Voice just jumped right to the front of the mix on the hardware and sounded more like a finished record to me - plugin sounded cloudy

Nice ! What settings did you use? I been flipping around a lot. Maybe there’s some info about general uses for 250, 456, etc., per genre. J King likes 900 on vox, fab used 250 on mix bus R and B track...So many options!!

I used the 250 tape on the plugin - as well as the hardware machine. I tend to like 250 best, but it's hard to come by these days. It's actually technically a "biohazard" b/c of some of the ingredients in the tape formula LOL ... but I also use 900 formula tape from time to time. I'm not a huge fan of 456 or GP9. They are very transparent (which is what they were designed to be) and I tend to gravitate towards a bit of mojo when hitting the tape pretty hard.

Cool thanks! So maybe I really can trust my ears because 250 always sounds best to me also 😜 gp9 sounds really clean so on hip hop it sounds about right for the genre.
