It looks like an interesting project that'll keep you busy for a while. With that detailed plan it looks fairly straightforward and not difficult though. Hopefully 2025 will be a good flying year.

@CliffHarveyRCPlanesАй бұрын
Hi John, I do, but drawing the files to cut from a plan that turns out to be not that accurate isn't very efficient 🤔👍

Great video, and excellent build skills, Cliff. Maybe I have missed it or overseen it in the comments. How did you transfer the plan into the laser cut software to cut/laser the fuse frames? Thanks for clarifying.
@CliffHarveyRCPlanesАй бұрын
A long process, photograph the plan, trace every component on the screen manually changing almost every dimension, export into the laser software rearranging the files into an efficient order and then the easy bit ... pressing the start button. Then finding the original drawing isn't very accurate! I'm up to part nine of the series, enjoy, cheers 👍

@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes , thanks very much. Great video series. Learning lots of new things and will now dare to start a balsa project. First a glider based on a kit, and if I finish it successfully, a glider build from scratch 😄.

Cliff I think this is the same plan as a clubmate of mine built a few years ago. It flies very nicely but is not very aerobatic - the roll-rate is rather slow. He used flaps as well as airbrakes and, like you suggest, they would have been better with servos in the wings. So you might want to modify the wing section. If you need further info let me know and I will send you his contact details.
@CliffHarveyRCPlanes3 ай бұрын

Hi Peter, yep, British through and through, the glue I'm using is called Speed Bond by Deluxe Materials but you may want to do a test piece with any white glue, Gorilla Glue also works well I believe.
