Lunalight Fusion Season 34 | Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

This was not the format I was hoping to see with Tenpai making its way into the meta since I love playing Lunalights going second but guess we'll have to make adjustments to our choice of deck (maybe...) So since people want to go second now, I decided to farm some replays with different Lunalight variants: Raidraptor, Lightsworn and Utopia. I will say now that I made some misplays during the Lightsworn and Raidraptor duels but it was fun to get practice on those decks again. As for Tenpai itself, obviously the pure Lunalights lose if you go first but I have thankfully won most of my coin tosses and gotten priority over the Tenpai players to get Master V. Going second vs Tenpai, it was very simple honestly, lots of people seem to be on board breakers more than handtraps so it was not bad to deal with. Realistically, it's just that a case of winning coin or not vs this deck. Even losing the Tear field spell doesn't mean much, just you lose the "third" Schieren but having two still isn't bad. Otherwise, I'm still not as interested in this format lol still hate Yubel, still hate Fire King and Tenpai will just be a bother going forward. I've never commented your videos, but you really inspired me to learn this deck (the pure version), i was a hero main but this could seriously be my fav one. The way it can easily play throught interruptions and going for otk with leo dancer/arc rebellion is impressive. I'll keep supporting you!

@@jag007 as someone who plays both Lunalight and HERO, nothing wrong with enjoying both and playing both. There are things Lunalight can do that HERO can’t and vice versa. But if you like versatility and being able to make your own version of a deck, Lunalights are where it’s at. Super fun despite not getting direct support.

Nice work Royal! 👍 With Tenpai running around now, going second got a little tougher to get especially compared to previous seasons where it was almost a sure thing Nice display of other Lunalight variants in this one. Lunatopia was my favourite of the 3 despite being a Raidraptor fan

@@UltimaXVI yeah it’s fine, just more stale format to go through with Tenpai’s addition into the game. I enjoy Luna RR a lot but am not a big fan of Raidraptor itself as an archetype so fair enough.

I wouldn’t say the Utopia variant works well vs Tenpai, he just had no handtraps to stop the full combo and got punished for it. Always happy to showoff other versions of the deck though. Festival should be interesting…

Nice surgical precision with all those Droplets and amongst the different Lunalight variants you showcased so far, I have a soft spot for Lunatopia, while most of the endboard may be Utopia related cards, I can see the Lunalights setting most of the groundwork for the deck to shine bright like the moon.

Lunatopia is fun despite the deck having some major flaws. It breathes new life into the Utopia cards for sure.

@@johnmccartney5461 Lunalights really don't do much in the way for assisting a pure Synchro strategy. Would be better to do it in a fusion deck or a link deck.

Former yugioh player here. Was messing around with LS and stumbled in Lunalight, which i didnt know anything about. I've been playing a lot of invoked, branded, despia, dogmatika, shaddoll variations and trying to bring back a competitivish chaos dragon w horus and lifhtsworns. So this are the things i like the most now a days: fusion and chaos decks. Do you think is there any chance a turbo chaos LS LL deck could work? I have this idea of a deck that mills a lot (maybe even w tearL) and make good use of shadow's light crossing over LL and Wulf or Felis. Idk, tell me you can think of smt

Unfortunately, I have never played around with the Chaos cards, I don't typically play pile deck esque things though Lightsworn is my only exception right now. But my build focuses on using Tear as the 3rd engine. That said, yes it could work though if you're milling, you don't need Shadow's Light to bridge the LS cards with the Luna cards since there are ways to get the important Luna cards in hand/GY. I've had people experiment with it with me but it's been a while since I've touched Lightsworn personally, the deck bricks way too hard for my liking but yeah it's a fun time when you get to play the game.

Hey bro, love your vids, I was just wondering if kaleido chick can be set up as a disruption on cases when one goes first. I was thinking her effect to ban the enemy from using skills on his battle phase can counter tenpai. But I'm just a casual player and don't really know much, all I can really think of is banish her with mirrorjade on the field lol.

@@azuredarkrim5514 That doesn’t really do much since you still need to set it up and you aren’t always necessarily going to go vs Tenpai. Just gotta take your wins where you can get them vs the non Tenpai players or where you win the coin toss.

@@royalvandyke true, I guess maybe it is just that my decks hard loses to tenpai haha. My favorite decks are rogue ones, I know they are not supposed to be that good, but they do well on average and through the past metas, except against tenpai. I don't really have a good record against them lol

If you’re talking about using Chick outside of Lunalight, I know you can technically use it for Branded I guess but slotting her in without any other Luna pieces just to counter Tenpai isn’t worth. She’s a good win con but it has to make sense for your deck for other purposes.

They sent Raider’s Knight off Unicorn but that game was vs pure Lunalights. The Raidraptor game was vs Yubel. And no, I don’t run fusions in the Raidraptor version.
