For those who wouldn't know the local language. "Lienlien na riri yosa lir wirwir hoten yo bier i lien uris yo tsik ela riri yono melte samok Lunabare sawe bilong white men i raunim yumi pinis" In New Ireland we have men's house with fences around and they are known as house boy. The song is about how life was like in the past compared to today's life especially at Lihir Island of Gold and New Ireland Province, the guy who acted in the video was sleeping and he dreamt of being lost at sea. I'll translate the tokples to pidgin "Lienlien na riri (means inside long Hausboi), yosa lir wirwir (means bel blo mi em tanim2x) hoten yo bier i lien uris (means olsem bin lus long bikpla solwara), yo tsik ela riri (means mi mangi blo Hausboi yet) yono melte samok (means mi mangi blo Hausboi na bai mi stap yet) Lunabare (tasol sawe bilong ol white men is raunim yumi pinis") Yel amrio Pet and thanks Tonton Malele for amazing clip. The roller-coaster of emotions that this song took me through..... the lyrics, the video - the elderly men included in the video 🥺🥺🥺 I could give a zillion likes for this video if youtube allowed it. Honestly, this is the kind of music that our country needs in this day and age. To the artist, just know that you are authentic, and you are definitely leaving your mark in the music industry in PNG.
