Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Final Battles/Ending/"True" Ending

For the unenlightened, after the first "ending" Lucia returns to the Blue Star alone to her duty, leaving Hiro and the others behind. This begins the prologue section with more dungeons and story leading to the "true" ending as you see. I just load the file and cut out the middleman.

Played these games on the Sega CD as a kid and the nostalgia I associate with it is priceless. Just the battle music alone is enough to bring me to tears. Lunar 1 and 2 are easily my favorite games of all time.

Lunar does not mess around. This is a insane boss fight that lasts over 40 minutes in length. THIS is how you do a final boss.

There's two ways to go about this fight. Either have someone dedicated to White Dragon shield every turn. Or : Hiro Triple Sword (main body) Jean Blue Dragon wave Leo Soul Blade (Main Body) Lumina Catastrophe Ronfar Healing duty especially with healing jewels. Save the dragon shield till Zophar readies his instant death attack. With Jean's and Lumina's attacks, all parts will fall while you have Hiro and Leo dealing damage to the main body.

Sad we never got a Lunar 3. At least Lunar 2 manages to close the chapter. I'm still tear up on the ending even all these years.

So here's the thing (even though its been 2 years since you mentioned this) they DID make sequels, but they were never translated. From what I've seen, it follows a girl from Vane going on adventures. I don't know any more than that.

i remember going to a friends house and he was playing lunar for the sega cd, and had to rush out and buy the game and loved every second of it. then i heard part 2 got announced and through multiple delays i finally got that game and beat it. was stoked when they remade the game for ps1 and part 2 for ps1 and was blown away we got silver star harmony on psp. this is my all time favorite jrpg universe to play in. was hoping to get a mmo in this universe and i believe i would die if that happened. but over all these two games are my 1 and 2 slot for top 10 followed by final fantasy 6, and dragon warrior series on nes.

I realized just now: the game ended exactly how it began; with Hiro sacrificing life and limb (AND hanging updside down) to collect his treasure. In the intro, it was a jewel. In the true ending, it was Lucia. 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲

The Hours i used as a kid spent into Lunar Silver Star and Eternal Blue, i liked how they brought Nall back as dude and not a girl just saying, him and Leo were my two favorites besides Hiro in this one...Man the Fun and the hardcore of this game was great and aggravating lol. Miss these games, 1 & 2 both had great stories, games anymore just arent like these.

I played through this gem blind and didnt even realize it had an epilogue till a few weeks after beating zophar(and that freaking hellwave bit he would do that would always kill my whole party) Looking backing on it I never used White/Blue dragon powers to their potential which would explained alot of the frustration I had with certain bosses, or positioning of characters on one(fake althena, Fire fiend, Zophy..) Anyways. thanks for the upload of one of my old favorites

They were somewhat popular back in the day. I've played probably 100+ of the most popular RPGs, but I've never had the emotional attachment of the Lunar series. It's always been in my top 5. You will get connected to the characters that no other game can. It's a work of art.

Lunar Silver Star Story Complete is way better. Story line much more touching. You know nothing of Lunar yet. Meeting the four dragons. And I like the first crew more. Alex, Kyle, Nash, Jessica, Mia. Last but not least, sexy beautiful Luna.

It attacks three-four tines per turn, hits like a truck, takes so long to kill it becomes a battle of conserving items and planning carefully, any slip up sends you back to phase 1, stupid hard fight all things considered, i myself haven't beaten it yet

you also need to space all your characters as far apart as possible to get hit by fewer small group attacks. if kept together close, those same attacks hit your whole group at once instead of 2-3 characters max

Sure, though focus fire is a thing. You spread your attacks for too long among multiple hands. Kill one at a time and remove the threat, or go for the kill. Otherwise you're just wasting time. Hence why you had to revive so much. This is RPG 101 of fighting a boss with multiple targets.
