No matter how hard Gemini is talking to Lunar they still care for him, and that is some hope to hold onto. Gemini \ Caster and Pollex have really been the only people Lunar has interacted with other then Earth. Plus growing romantic feelings for them did not help their split. Lunar is not just losing a friend, he is loosing a crush and a mentor. All that being said, the ending was sick! Nebula is such boss!

@@demigodidk exactly. And this Eclipse technically didn't kill anyone. That was the previous Eclipse. This one only had (some of) the memories of the previous Eclipse. He's not the same Eclipse that abused the Star, not the same Eclipse that killed Lunar, he's technically innocent. And definitely can plead insanity, because he was definitely showing signs of it. I think the Astral Bodies don't see the ramblings of a "madman" as a threat.

And Castor had told Eclipse that he wasn't the original. I believe Eclipse also mentioned that his memories seemed like they were in the third person point of view.

@@lorihutchison7084 I totally agree that the astral bodies don't understand humanity. You can watch something all you want, until you've experienced it, you won't have a full understanding. Especially someone who has suffered from trauma. I don't know if Lunar is aware of how far Sun went down this type of rabbit hole after he had killed Bloodmoon and then went after Eclipse, since Lunar had been away from the daycare. I could see Lunar not wanting to talk to Earth, but Sun would have understood and maybe had been able to help him understand himself better or get him to a point of talking to Earth or another therapist.

As harsh as it was Gemini had some good points. Lunar refuses to move on and is stuck. He acts like a child and gets mad when the others treat him like one. This episode hit HARD for me. As a person who struggled like Lunar has (except the killing), it SUCKS to hear what someone you care about is giving you the truth. Personally, I think Gemini is justified in getting this angry, they TRIED over and over again and Lunar wastes it. Now he has to face the consequences and Gemini can only sit back and watch, try and fight but not be able to change anything. Gemini has TRIED to help Lunar. Though I will say... GREAT JOB LAES FOR THE VIDEO, GOOD JOB FOR PULLING AT MY HEART STRINGS :D Edit: Also, I'd like to mention... Lunar NEVER said "sorry" or a "it's not your fault" to Gemini, maybe that's what made them even more upset tbh. ESPECIALLY when Lunar "you can't feel things". Tbh, I need a Lunar villain arc Also, Lunar got told nothing but the truth. Yes, he was a victim of abuse, but that doesn't excuse his actions. What you guys are saying is almost equivalent to "Eclipse's choices were made because he has trauma and was left behind," which just isn't true. The choice Lunar made was irrational, and he decided to do it out of vengeance, as confirmed. Just because he has trauma doesn't mean he doesn't need to face consequences. I don't know how I feel about Lunar's situation. Gemini made some VERY good points. He really should have gotten the help he needed, he does act childish, he did avoid the problem until it was too late. But I also hold Moon and Solar acountable to an extent. They're the ones that agreed to let Eclipse help and roam the pizza plex. They knew there was a chance of an encounter, and as family to the person Eclipse tortured the most, they should have made more percussions to keep Eclipse away. HOWEVER I also understand they tried to do that by making Jack. Honestly I was hoping he stayed near Lunar so he could go mop the floor with Eclipse. But it is what it is. I don't know, i understand everyone's perspective on this.

I interpret Lunars self sabotage as a coping mechanism. He is most familiar with the hurting feelings, the ones that keep him from truly being happy. So he keeps them close, they're comforting. So is the idea of Eclipse being better, which is why he misses him. It's a lot, abuse can drastically change a person. Honestly I love the idea of Gemini not understanding it because of how complex these feelings are. Lunar can barely explain it so he just willows in it, he takes it in, he appreciates the pain. Even though he wants nothing more than to feel better. But if he doesn't think he deserves it, or if he took eclipses words truly to heart, he won't wanna get better. I think I love how Gemini handled this :) A character struggling to understand complex feelings, are feeling disappointment, pain, and hope for someone else. It's a beautiful relationship from a story perspective and I appreciate it.

Honestly I see both sides. Gemini makes really good points, Lunar DOES need help and he IS avoiding it but also at the same time, Gemini doesn’t have emotions, so they can’t fully comprehend why lunar did what he did even if they think they know. Lunar did what he did intentionally. He didn't lose control, he consciously focused his powers on Eclipse with intent to kill. He did it out of anger, but that still doesn't excuse his actions. Yes, Eclipse provoked him, i will say that much, but Lunar did not even try to practice any self control. He wanted Eclipse dead, and even said so out loud. He acted on impulse because he wanted Eclipse to know he was not bluffing. A warning shot should have been enough, but no, he straight up killed him out of cold blood. Lunar could have chosen to be the bigger person and not have done that.

There wasn’t much more that could have been done. Second of all, that’s not how trauma works! You can’t just get over it. It can take YEARS to get to a state of healing, depending on the severity of the trauma. Some, never fully heal. Suddenly, the abuser shows up, and begins to antagonize the victim. He keeps trying to get close, and won’t leave Lunar alone, or back off. Lunar is sent into Fight, Flight, or Freeze mode, and all the emotions that piled up have finally broken through. He’s scared, and angry, (rightfully so!). I won’t say it was right to kill Eclipse here, cause it wasn’t. But saying he basically should have already healed, or kept his emotions in check, is ridiculous. It wasn’t that long ago that Eclipse killed him in cold blood. I know personally, I am still working through trauma from over 3 years ago. And it wasn’t even close to the severity that Lunar went through!
