The part I love about that clip was buzz aldrin was ignoring this obviously crazy nutcase when the loon was calling him a liar and a theif... nobody cares what a loon thinks. But then the guy called him a coward: Buzz Aldrin not only risked his life for the betterment and advancement of the species, but he risked his life for his country and his values by flying jet fighters in korea, shooting down two MiGs and being decerated for his actions. Michael Collins has the distinction of being the "most isolated human ever" in that when his orbit took him to the other side of the moon from Neil and Buzz, he was further from the next nearest human than anyone before or since. When Collins was told of this fact and asked how it felt to be the "lonliest human," Collins replied that it was nice to have more room in the capsule for a while. So Simon's musings about Armstrong playing Theramin music isn't really too far off the truth.

Like Simon said about the lack of stars in the background of pictures, when you go beyond just dismissing moon landing conspiracy theorists as crackpots and look at their actual evidence, you find some really, really interesting answers like learning about how cameras work and film exposure, etc.

I can give a personal example of people having a hard time keeping secrets. I worked full time for the Army National Guard of_____-(in the CONUS) The base I worked at had live fire artillery capability for a number of different weapons system. A well known (at the time) defense contractor maintained a live artillery range at the facility. Just after the first Gulf War a Russian T72 tank was brought in for testing. The facility I worked at had American tanks. We fixed them and what not. We were called to move the Russian tank because it's batteries were dead. Right after we did what we were supposed to do, they had a live fire range exercise, which I watched for fun. At the time the were testing projectiles that were "bomblets" that fell at a slow rate and spun to detect heat signatures of armored vehicles and fired downward at the top of the vehicle. All that to say my rank wasn't that high and I only had a secret clearance for security, but one of the engineers there explained to me the operational concept and application of the device without any hesitation. it was about 8 or nine years before I saw that weapon system being talked about on the History Channel or Discovery or whatever. My point being people who know cool secretive shit will talk about it at some point. 🤔 TLDR; Simon is right about secrets. 👍

Bonus fact: The comparison between the astronauts moving quickly through the Van Allen Radiation Belt and fire walkers is the opposite of true. Fire walkers actually walk across the coals slowly, and they have to or they do burn their feet. This is because the tops of the coals are significantly cooler than the bottoms and if they go fast, they churn the coals and expose their feet to the underside. MythBusters showed how this works with thermal cameras and Adam burned the shit out of his feet because he panicked and ran. The rest of the crew successfully did the walk by going nice and slow.

We actually placed things on the moon, that we can interact with from earth, proving we went there. We placed laser reflectors on the lunar surface. Idea for Business Blaze: worst mistakes when recording over old tapes. If I remember correctly, thats what happened with the original recording of the lunar landing. They only get the signal into Australia(due to planets orientation at the moment) and then they just makeshifted together a projector and aired the landing by pointing a camera onto the projection, hence the shitty quality. It was due to incompatibility with the hardware. They recorded the original signal though, only to record over it in a later day. What a cockup. It might have helped the conspirators also.
