Theory: Eclipse never wanted to be the bad guy, so now that he has the chance, since everyone is at their lowest, he's going to recreate Solar, and try and see if he can be in the family again, be called a "brother" like Solar, that's why he keeps calling himself a clone. Because he is, from Solar, and he hates it. He wants to be more than a clone, he wants to be considered and trusted, not seen as just "the villain that ruined everyone's lifes".

Ah, I see. Eclipse is secretly insecure. This non-caring, mysterious, scheming persona of his, is just a front to hide the fact he really doesn't know what he's supposed to be doing. He only knows he has a legacy of the original he has to live up to, but he lacks a lot of the cunning and intelligence that made the original so threatening. He has no power to hold over the rest of the Celestial family and now is resorting to childish taunts and antagonizing to feel some semblance of control over his situation. Because the one characteristic he does share with the original is the need to have a sense of control over his situation, which he doesn't, and a lack of control is distressing in some way to him.

Oh my goodness, listen to how Eclipse talks. He sounds like a teenager using big words online to try and seem dangerous and smart. He's such a feckin Tryhard Edgelord. Somehow he's still my favorite character. I find it ironic that he calls Lunar a loser. Is he not aware that a lot of people view *him* as the pathetic loser? But, I think part of it is that Eclipse thinks that the only thing about him that has any real value is his intelligence. So he lords it over everyone and puts others down for being less intelligent than him. He certainly doesn't scare people anymore, its the only way he can feel he has power over people. Or have any power at all in the situation he has found himself in. All Eclipses walls are being forcibly torn down, and I freaking love it. And Lunar! Fantastic job! Facing your fears and seeing the monster for what it actually is. Just a man. Even being willing to see the other side of the story without taking on blame or guilt for things he should not take blame for. A willingness to let go. I know Lunar said he doesn't forgive Eclipse. But how I personally see forgiveness is acknowledging the bad thing someone did to you and choosing not to hate them for it. Choosing to let go of nurturing the grudges, revenge fantasy's and hopes for punishment and/or payback. And I think Lunar has chosen to do this. And I think it will help his mental state immensely going forward.

Eclipse is such an interesting character to me, you can clearly see through his facade that he hides his self consciousness and doubt through laughing at people and talking down to them. He pretends to like hurting the celestial family, but in a way he acts like he still cares. And I love the thought of whenever he needs to think he floats. I look forward to see more of his thought process and how he works.

Well everybody’s please stop assuming that solar is getting replaced for eclipse he’s not Luna never said he had to become brothers with eclipse again, just that he had to come to terms with it he’s not being replaced.
