Always love your work. The envelope with the black border was customary in the USA when a death was announced. The thickness of the black line was significant. This was customary in the 1800's and as you know, has disappeared now. Thought you might find this interesting.

Hi paula parkison The feather fountain pens you can get from ebay the exact same ones they look so beautifull n you can here the quality of it as she puts it on her desk they also have many more also beautifull. These journals take many hours to create and are amazing works of art. I am sure that part of the cost is for the artist's time and creativity. Also, high quality, vintage supplies are used: papers, laces, and lots of stitching also. I wish I was so creative!
