Yup. I only realised partway through the video that this is a Maine Coon. They're huge cats, yet still looks so small compared to Luna. Of course, this size difference is why Luna is not worried about the cat, but the cat is very worried/defensive towards Luna. Same reason why Luna is defensive towards visitors in one of the other videos - they're much bigger than she is.

He's a Maine Coone so much larger than regular house cats and he's also a orange kitty. They are bold and courageous, sometimes they don't recognize the danger around them. The woman warns her off "Don't be so bold!". My orange cat is the same, she wants to dominate everyone (other cats and even humans - she hisses and strikes you if you do something she doesn't like). She's sometimes too bold for her own good. I mean I dropped a glass jar which broke in a million little pieces and made a loud noise close to her head as she was following me in the kichen and was close to my legs. She didn't flinch or run or anything. I think that I got more scared than she did. I picked her up and got her out of the kitchen to sweep the floor of all that glass so she won't hurt her paws. Most cats would have run to the hills if anything was dropped near them, but not her. It's sweet as she seems to feel very secure in my proximity, but this is not a cat that would survive as stray.

Orange cats are legit built different. It also helps that Luna is repeatedly signaling that she’s not a threat and the humans are both relaxed and protecting him every time she comes around. He got the feel for the power dynamic in the house very swiftly and understood that so long as he stayed close to the humans, the giant void kitty would not go for him.

I have liked black leopards since I was a child. Amazing animals. Luna is a very well socialized. I think it all depends on how much love a creature receives, when it's young, while being raised. Animals also instinctively feel love, which is also reflected in Luna's behavior. I consider both the caring lady and her lovely husband to be very wonderful people. This is the biggest mistake people make is applying human emotion to an animal. The smartest animals should be able to understand us better and therefore love us most right? Well than why is it that chimpanzees rip peoples faces off and orcas turn on trainers and kill them? Orcas are probably 100 time more intelligent than cats so what can be expected of a cat ? Remember even dogs that have been domesticated for 100s of years will still see kids as prey and maul them occasionally. Stop applying human emotion to animals, you can love them but keep the shotgun really close by.

I like how a few of the orange cat reactions are a hiss/growl that starts low and is almost immediately cut off. Like the instinct to try to be intimidating and assert dominance is there, but the reality of Luna being what she is instantly kicks in and orange cat is like "no no no stop that, I'll just cut it off right now and hope nothing bad happens....." 😅🤣🤣

not a Panther. a Panther is a Mountain Lion is a Cougar is a Puma. and these cats are NEVER black. the only big cat that can sometimes be black is a Leopard. luna is a mixed breed. but not even part Panther. he's part Leopard. honest.

I think you're right. Animals are much more compassionate than most people give them credit. I have a few kitties and when I brought the last one home my older male went into the bathroom to comfort him because he was scared. I thought he was going to pee in his litter box or eat his food just to show him who was the boss since the kitten was male also but he didn't, he went out of his way to make my little one feel comforted and to this day they're the best of friends. You have great insight on animals

It's like you give 3 stars to your cat and 5 to the panther?? They both are great in their own way, so stop to put animal to the humans level. I have a cat, which is beautiful and i wouldn't forget him over a black panther. For me what matter is not the superior apparence, but the love and attachment i have for him. It's like girls that forget the man of their lives once they would see a muscular guy, or that would read a romance about an arrogant millionair guy. Apparence is'nt everything, it's so superficial. So no, i wouldn't give my credits to a black panther mostly than my cat. The panther is big, but the difference is that i love my cat so much. So no, it's not a "standard cat", its a wonderful cat and he don't need standards to be valuable. It's like to prefer a genius kid than your own kid. See what i mean?? when you focus your attention on superficial details, so you would resume what you have to something less important, because you would see something that would look bigger or more important. While if you really love what you have, the rest is not important. My cat is my sweet love and i wouldn't forget him for a panther or anything else. Beside, panther shouldn't be domesticated, because they still have their instinct inside and it could have bad consequences. Even if i deeply understand the link we could feel for an animal, he should just not live in the home, but be wild and free. I even feel that about my own cat or domesticated animal.We use too much animals to feel our interests, and you see your cat as an object, to say that he's a "standard" cat. While finally animal reign is much more important than humans, because they still are connected to nature. It's not us that should judge nature or animals. It's mostly us that owe something to nature. Nature is our source, and we transform nature and animals into toys or interest. Nature have no standard, while humans need to categorize everything and to judge that a panther is better than the cat that live by your side since years. Am i really the only one to see this aberration? That's not possible that 39 ppl like your comment without ever thinking. Yes humans are so selfish and superficial.

All that because I was temporarily mesmerized by a panther, and said what I said to simply make a point how awesome Panthers are. So etwas funktioniert nur mit einem außerordentlichen Einfühlungsvermögen und Liebe und kann nicht erzwungen werden. Es ist schon bei einer normalen Hauskatze ein kleines Wunder , aber bei einem Leoparden ist es nochmal außergewöhnlicher so eine Sozialisierung zu erreichen . Im sanften Verhalten von Luna erkennt man den Charakter ihrer Besitzerin der sich in dem großen schönen Tier widerspiegelt und das Vertrauen welches die faszinierende Panter lady ihrer menschlichen Mutter entgegenbringt ist faszinierend 💞 auch ist die rote Main Coon nicht nervös . Anscheinend sind beide neugierig aufeinander und versuchen sich kennenzulernen 🐈💕🐱 . .

Over my 70 years living with cats, dogs, birds, turtles, and fish I find each relationship to be unique, not always predictable, and individual in their introductory reactions to each other. Also as life goes on and things change (such as health, the addition or subtraction of other human and animal companions) new and different behaviors can develop. I just said good bye to my final love. It has been VERY difficult for both of us to have her go to the otherworldly place where she will be reunited with her companions and will meet with all of my beautiful loved ones that I have had over my decades of life. My health precludes caring for a new companion so I will need to adjust to living with just myself. That has already been difficult. Love and appreciate them!
