I was just in Japan for 2 weeks and it was insane how affordable food was. Like you could get a whole McDonald's meal for 500¥ and even at higher quality restaurants 1000¥ was a good price for great food.

hiii! i used to live in japan for 7 and a half years and these videos remind me about how good the food it not just at 7/11 but lawsons, faimly mart and how they were so cheap. keep up the great work and i love the videos. i also remember my faimly saved up 500 yen from toll booths, change or anything and we would go on awesome vacations. :D

If anyone is wondering, the noodles she got are a type of instant udon, referred to as Akai Kitsune, or Red Fox. The fried tofu is both salty and slightly sweet, and the broth has a nice salt and umami flavour to it. Its my favourite kind if instant noodle

median income in japan is only about $24k USD, but in the US it's in the 36k range. But still better value even accounting for differences in income.

I went there in May, 3 onigiris (2 tuna mayo, 1spicy Cod roe) and a 600ml tea was around 500yen and it would be enough to get me to about 8pm, a light dinner, rinse and repeat the next day

OK, the 7 11 one Coin. edition is definitely my new favorite.I don't know why I love watching the seven eleven videos in japan or korea or the Corner market store in the Philippines.Not sure if they actually have a 711, but they definitely have a corner store that the parents go to sometimes at night and those videos are pretty cool too.Thank you for sharing your fun adventures.

A slice of pizza where I live New York City Closest to me would be $2.62 after tax One that would actually want to eat About a mile from me $2.44 after tax If I'm willing to work for it, I'll go to the city to one of three places. One for $4 One for $3 And my favorite one for $1.25 but you actually have to wait in a line for that one

In America you can the same or more for the amount paid (500 yen= $3.19) Its just $3 not a single coin. - Cup noodle= .89 cents - Arizona tea= .99 cents - Apple pie turnovers= HUGE one for $1.19 Total cost roughly equivalent, twice the food and drink volume.

What she’s having was also my faves (as instant food) when I don’t have time to cook at home, within the 26 yrs. in Japan🇯🇵. Moved to Germany after my 2nd marriage (1995), still enjoying Japanese foods by buying ingredients (condiments) from Asian supermarket esp. the Japanese rice (Koshihikari (brand)❣️
