Many people cite cleanliness, politeness, good social manners, good public safety, and respect for others as characteristics of Japan, but I think the best characteristic of Japan is the delicious food.🤔This is something I've come to realize from traveling to different countries, and I think it's the best in the world at every level, from cheap convenience store food to fancy food for a few hundred dollars.🤤Speaking of which, the CEO of the Michelin Guide said something similar.😅

yeah - a fresh onigiri with double-wrapped plastic to keep the seaweed dry and crisp can be excellent - in a pinch a soba meal is a life-saver - and then of course you've got to have a sweet cake and/or icecream

I miss Japan. It's funny the first thing I purchased was at a 7/11 next to my hotel in Tokyo, I was without sleep for quite a long time after checking in, went down and bought 2 Egg Salad sandwiches and fell in love with them at that point. Amazing. Also, the greeting at the door almost knocked me over and unexpected!

I legit miss those triangle / pyramid rice sandwiches with nori on the outside and “I can’t read what’s gonna be inside” on the inside. Took me time to figure out how to unwrap them. It’s ingenious the way the wrapping keeps the seaweed from getting soggy. And instant noodle bowls that have pretty substantial stuff inside. And tea-boiled eggs ready to go 24/7.

Before the pandemic, 7-Eleven in Thailand was rife with scams that duped Japanese tourists. It was a simple trick: the price of an item you didn't even buy was included in the total price. The reason Japanese people are targeted is because they don't check receipts at all, believing that there can be no fraud in the store. Japanese people are easily deceived and do not doubt others because they are accustomed to the security and moral sense of their own country, so they are easy targets in many countries.😂
