Lake Havasu City is a favorite of mine. I have only been there once and that was a couple of months ago for 2 nights. We went to the Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge and walked their nature trail. Saw a lot of different flocks of ducks, some egrets, a Great Blue Heron and a couple of rabbits. That trail is about 1/2 mile long and half of that is asphalt pavement. There are several benches for rest if that is needed along the path. Free admission and plenty of free parking and it is close to Lake Havasu City. We also enjoyed the Optimist Park which is the free city park in Lake Havasu City.

Hi Russ, I really enjoy your videos. My wife and I visited Lake Havasu a few years ago, rented a house and spent the month of April. You talk about taking a boat ride. Do it! WE took a lighthouse tour on the water. Very entertaining and educational. The light houses on the California side are replicas of west coast light houses, on the Arizona side, east coast and on the island are Great Lakes light houses. We were quite fortunate on our tour, there were three couples from London and one of the gentlemen in his youth had dived from the bridge into the Thames.

That bait n tackle you passed near the museum is probably the best stocked shop anywhere. It carries everything from bass pro related to the fish in the area. Site 6 is one of the best areas to catch striped bass, with a great fishing pier. The swap meet is on Sunday.

Russ the light houses are all strategically located on the lake for boat navigation at night. If you have lighthouse beacon in site and drive toward it you won't run into the rocks

There's a consistent story going around that the millionaire who paid all that money to buy the London Bridge, in his ignorance, thought he was buying what is actually the *Tower Bridge* However, he'd already signed the contract to have, what he thought was the 'London Bridge' dismantled and shipped over to this site in Arizona. So he had to make the best of an embarrassing situation. And the British haven't stopped laughing to this day. Or is this just an urban myth story ? Even if it is, it's still a great story though. 😎
