Ever since I found a F- VF copy of ASM #121 in 1979, I felt that that it was pretty historic. It has since become even more important as the true beginning of the Marvel Bronze-era. So years later I searched out a high grade NM copy and was lucky enough to find one. I agree with you that this is truly a special pivotal book that I believe is a major key! Congrats!!

A 3.5? I would think it would be in the $80 to $90 range! I guess CGC was generous giving it that grade, seeing as how sometimes they go off the deep end in grading certain issues that left an impact on a entire generation of comic collectors, young and old! I'm sure your friends will sell it to you for a reasonable price ! Great pickups! Excelsior!

That John Romita art style is what I grew up with in the '70s I bought 20 cent comics and then they went up to 25 before I stopped collecting but the characters on your Spider-Man book are like much of the characters were drawn at that time period.

Great video Mike. I thought Echo was a decent show could have done a little more but it wss ok. The character in the comics is way better, for my taste anyway. I was able to get a Daredevil 9 cgc 9.4 for $3.99 at That's Entertainment. They were having a sale and I had a gift certificate. Also it almost made me cry seeing that ASM 121, I sold my copy of 121 and 122 both CGC 9.6's a few years back. Needed the cash. Still hurts every time I see them. I will get them back one day just maybe not that high grade. Lol. Great to finally meet up this past weekend. Can't wait to see all the great books you got. 👊🏼

Did you know that Stan Lee never wanted Gwen to die but when that issue came out he was on vacation lol
@DWNicolo11 ай бұрын
Nope. According to Len Wein, Stan Lee was behind the death of Gwen Stacey. Every Spider-Man writer including Stan Lee felt that Gwen Stacey was a cold fish that no writer ever warmed up to. There was a furious backlash from the fans over her death at the time. Stan Lee furiously back pedaled throwing Gerry Conway, at the time the Spider-Man writer, under the bus.

Mike, cool STRANGE TALES!! Don't know if you know this about the Marvel Silver "split books. Prior to 1968, Marvel was distributed by rival DC< and restricted to publishing only eight title, hence the heroes sharing so many books. Blame Martin Goodman. That’s interesting. I think if you have a complaint about not getting something or issues with payment then Whatnot reimburses you, like a credit card company or eBay. So it SHOULD be pretty hassle free but I’d be curious if people have had issues with it. I’ve only bought from my friends who I trust so I’m not the beat judge
