I own a 2019 Lund pro V bas 2075. I’ve also owned several fiberglass bass boats, “ranger, champion, bass cat. My Lund is all aluminum. Decks, deck lids etc. I can’t say enough positive things about the overall quality and ride of my Lund. I’ve never owned a aluma craft. I’ve fished on one as a guest. Really nice boat. You definitely get what you pay for. Kinda hard to hear an opinion about Lund & aluma craft boats when you own a 17ft tracker. Not knocking bass pro shops boats but come on son.

True statement. I have owned Lund, Alumacraft AND Tracker. The Tracker is not even close to the quality of the other 2. I owned it 6 months and was so glad to sell it.

Alumacraft has a one piece bottom and is double plated with an all aluminum transom. Theyre known for having the smoothest ride on the water. They use large aircraft aluminum grade rivets and a one piece keel.

I have an Alumacraft 16-1/2 foot side console boat and we vacation with friends who have a 16-1/2 foot Lund side console boat. When we decided to upgrade our boat this year, my wife wanted to go with a Lund because our friend's boat just rides so much better than ours. Looking forward to spring when we take delivery of our new Lund and put our Alumacraft up for sale.

riveted boats are better. They are flexible and are a smoother quieter ride.

You should tell us which Lund is in your comparison. Is it the Lund 1775 Renegade? While it has a riveted hull it does not have any wood in the entire boat. Lund, Crestliner and Alumacraft have the very best small aluminum bass boats.

I own a 2016 alumacraft competitor 175 since new. They are the same build as Lund, when I shopped between an impact and competitor they used the Exact same every thing, gauges seats etc, so your video really should be which ever one you get a deal on is the one you should get. Alumacraft offer different motors cause they don’t have a contract with any motor company like how Lund does. You’re still a kid with a tracker so you won’t know what you’re getting into until you shop for one.

@@PhilosophyDaily Alumacraft has been riveting boats for 75 years. A few of the newer models are welded. Rivets allow for flex in boats. Aircraft are riveted, not welded for the same reason. Cracked welds are very common in boats. Loose or leaking rivets are few and far between.

If you are a fishing guide and you buy an Alumacraft boat the warranty goes from a 10 year warranty to a 1 year warranty. You would think a company who claims to know anglers would not cut fishing guides warranty’s. This is not just about me but any guide or angler who uses this product. There are tons of great company’s out there who understand the angler. Support them !

Lund Should Start Welding Their Boats..Most People Love/Like Lund Boats.... Except For The Rivet Thing🤔... Everyone Would Win..I Saw A Lund Dealer Saying Lund Is MORE Expensive Because It Takes More Man Power To Make A Riveted Boat Than A Welded Boat... So Start Welding... Bring the Price Down... And Could Probably Still Have A Better Profit Margin Being A Cheaper Price 😱🤷 Everyone Wins! 😎👍.. Customers, Workers, owners/business...

You said to let you know why I didn't like the video. If you want to compare boats, either rent one of each or go to a dealer and test out one of each. You are telling us NOTHING about the boats. You said the transom is composite and you don't know what that means (Your words, not mine) how can you say it is bad if you don't know what it is. You say you should have aluminum, the wheels on cars are not aluminum they are alloy, a form of "composite" metals. Then YOU like welded, that doesn't make it best it makes it YOUR OPINION. Then you are not including small pond boat. You are only doing "full size boats and up". What do you consider a "full size boat"? That boat behind you is not a "full size boat"

If welding was stronger, fighter jets and tractor trailers would be welded, are rivets a pita to deal with? You bet, however they are stronger.
@trapin683 жыл бұрын
Alumacraft's are not welded, they are riveted....because they're smart. Lund's composite transom has had zero problems. Lastly, wood decks will last a lifetime if you're not an idiot and leave your boat outside uncovered. I can't tell if you're just trolling for subscribers or trying to catch Bass Pro Shops attention for a sponsorship. Maybe a little of both. ;-)

Aluminum transoms can crack over time as with any transoms. The transom takes a beating Everytime the boat is in use. I seriously dought that the transom is solid aluminum - not cost affective. Otherwise - good video

I went to cabelas to look at the trackers. It was the super small size and huge price tag that made me go to lund. Huge price yes. But huge boat comes with it. Lund uses the same rivet system that your commercial airliner that flies at 35,000 feet. So there’s that. And the transom composite is proven stronger and doesn’t hold water. You know what I’m not even going to go in lol. Do your homework son.

@rds9909 ай бұрын
Rivets FLEX without cracking like a weld can. That is why aircraft use rivets in high flex areas. There ARE indeed some welds on Lunds....really. They are in non-critical , low-flex areas however. A weld is NOT designed to flex like a boat does in rough water. The main reason for welds is not strength....it's COST. A robotic welder can do it cheaper.

Buyer beware.. stay away from Alumacraft, they do not honor their warranty's. They claim to give a 20 year warranty on their 2XB hulls and include the documentation in the purchase paperwork. If you try and get them to honor it-you will be unpleasantly surprised. You will appreciate the creativity in the reasons that they give for denying the warranty responsibility. Just a bad company to deal with from my experience. I currently own 4 boats-all aluminum-and have had no issues with the other manufacturers even though only very minor issues have come up with their boats.

I've been comparing Lund Tiller 1775 Pro Guide and the Alumacraft Tiller Competitor. One thing I've noticed is Alumacraft goes over the top in storage compartments. Way too much. What the hell are people putting in all these cabinets? I need lower floor space, not a boat with 2/3rds of the area elevated with carpeted cabinetry. They must be trying to appeal to the southern bass boy crowd, but it makes for a poor design in rough or big water walleye type fishing. Hey Alumacraft, this is a F'N TILLER! We back troll and forward troll. We don't crawl up on the "flight deck" that surrounds the small lower floor to net fish in whitecaps, 45 degree water or upper Mississippi River barge traffic. Frustrating that they just don't get it. Lund it will be.
@t268033 жыл бұрын
young fell you need to learn more. Any boat that has carpet on the deck is not a fishing boat, it's a like a young lady's pretty little first car for around town. No reason to consider what your saying as it's like comparing the best two walmart fishing reels. They work good for what they are used for but to worry what one would handle a Marlin would be stupid. All these boats will sink well before the water breaks them so whats the point. Frankly if you want a real boat buy a good bay boat or small offshore crossover boat.

I own a 2019 Lund pro V 1875 and I think it’s junk. Boat means Break Out Another Thousand and so far that is holding true for my boat. When vegetable joe is out of office and the economy is better that boat anchor is gone. The motor alarmed (over heating)and they can’t find the problem it has electrical problems. Carpet is coming apart. And the boat has a total of 45.5 hours on it. What a joke I swear nobody has any pride anymore it was just slapped together. PS my boat is full of wood , the storage covers are aluminum sides and floor are wood . Maybe the 1875 is the low life of the pro V’s. I average about 5 hours a month 3 months a year and it’s stored in my garage. Buy a tracker if it last for five years you can buy two for what you would pay for a Lund
