Exactly, of course anybody in that position would be happy knowing its not worse than it is. She's not happy she's got cancer she's happy that it's not as bad as it could be! Which is completely normal and I'm sure all of us would be happy and smiling if we found out it wasn't as bad as it could have been if that makes sense! Tiffany don't know why people wouldn't understand that the situation of hearing the cancer has spread after being cleared and the main thing is knowing something can be done rather than it can't, why wouldn't you be somewhat happy in that moment. Well said. As a cancer patient myself, I have noticed people telling me I was negative when I had my moments… but those moments are fleeting and I reach out to friends in those moments. They kept saying I needed to be strong and positive when in fact I am that 90% of the time. Whenever I felt happy and positive I don’t feel the need to reach out to anyone. Now its apparently wrong to be happy and strong all the time too. I think whatever you are feeling is normal and human, no matter what you are feeling, whether that is angry, depressed, happy, etc. I think people should just keep their opinions to themselves as they have no idea what it is like to have cancer.

There's different ways of looking at things, but it would not surprise me at all if most of us over 40 do not know all of this information about our dear Aunts. Im so sad we did not connect, i hope you dont mind me sharing with you, you have your own stressors, when you said to tell your loved one you love them, give them a hug , i could only cry. My husband is currently in a nursing home, it was to get stronger (therapy) ,then was acting out of sorts. The other day i went to visit and he said "why did you have to come?". I stood there, not even knowing how to react. I am a mental wreck, they are testing him for the early onset of dementia. Never did i think that word would be in my vocabulary as far as my husband & I. Please know i am not taking the focus off of you,i think about you a lot, a lot, lol!! I know these are such different situations, yet they both get you right in the gut. I haven't had cancer, Praise God! But I can certainly understand how having one less thing to worry about (the liver) would be a cause for happiness and gratitude. What I don't understand are some of the crazy ignorant comments I have seen! It seems like there are some people who apparently think it's ridiculous to have any sense of relief or happiness when navigating through an illness. But these same people would surely criticize Tiffany if she showed her sadness, and any moments of despair. They would probably say "she should have a more positive attitude". You can't win with these types of people! I'm happy that there are people such as yourself who have walked this road, and can offer Tiffany some real life experience!

Cancer is a difficult journey to Navigate. I have lost my mom to Colon cancer, bladder cancer and brain tumor, 4 of her brothers to Colon & Lung Cancer, my sister to Colon cancer and sarcoma cancer, my brother to colon & lung cancer. A niece to MDS & AML Leukemia and i could go on and on. I'm rooting for Tiffany. The battle can be fierce but she can beat this thing. She needs to ignore those negative forces and stay positive. People can be cruel. I'm so glad you are rooting for her as well@@christinelamb1167

You're going through trauma, Tiffany. Stress will make you sick so listen to your body and rest. Try not to push yourself to the end. As a cancer survivor, it was one of the hardest lessons to learn. Still today, I feel some guilt to have to take a break and rest as the world goes on. But our bodies have been thriugh a lot. Be well, my friend.❤

I too have many co- morbidities. I’ve been through breast cancer, radiation, and a clinical trial for a pre blood cancer. It’s exhausting on our bodies and our spirits. I also advocate speaking to a therapist if you think it would help.

In the BC world, Stage 4 cancer is treated like and thought of as a “chronic disease” rather than something that can be “cured.” It is managed, not eliminated. Stage 4 is serious business. Your emotions are valid.

Tiffany you are Handling this cancer scare the best way you know how I can’t even imagine what or how I would feel going through what you are going through and you are so right you have to keep your self in great spirits no matter what i’m sure you have good days and bad days it’s only human to feel the way you feel, I see a lot of worry on your face as well as great strength I think if you let yourself only feel sadness it will only make you feel sick . I pray that everything works out for the best for you ,you are such a strong and Beautiful Soul i’m sure you make others happy just by smiling and staying positive, please don’t change who you are for anyone . I truly Love your attitude towards life . when you worry it is the most understandable for all that you are going through no one knows how and what they would feel if they were in your shoes .

Your emotions are totally understandable. As long as the doctors are coming up with plans for treatment, there is always hope. Giving up emotionally makes it that much harder for the body to physically respond to these treatments. We've still got this Tiffany! ❤

I've been watching you since your major surgery, and I find so much comfort in hearing you say what I think. I have MDS (have I already told you that?). It's a rare blood cancer that there is no cure for....in my case. I've been battling it for 5 years. I lost my only ly son almost a year after my diagnosis and then BAM Covid. For a while I felt like "what's next?". It's been so difficult, but I have to choose to be as happy as I can. You help me more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤.😊

Tiffany i had cancer in my lung after recovering from breast cancer so i had to have surgery to remove it, honestly it was so quick and i was home 4 days later, i have a scar at the side of my breast about 3in long and a drain scar and i was fine when i got home , and recovered quickly. I was on the high dependency unit for 1 day then on to a ward and then home ❤

Having a positive attitude is very important! You are doing a great job dealing with all that you have been going through. I have diffuse systemic scleroderma (no cure), multiple myeloma (bone marrow, kidney cancer-no cure). You and I make each day count. I refuse to spend my time left in my earth suit to be depressed, angry etc, it takes too much energy and being pleasant and doing things that make a difference for others is what is important.

Hello, sweet Tiffany! Don’t listen to people who think they know what you should be doing and feeling!! My 35-year-old daughter was diagnosed with colon cancer a year ago. We went through such a range of emotions. Because of our deep faith in and relationship with Jesus, we were able to land most often in a place of trusting that His plans for us are GOOD and knowing that He would get us through each day. I am so thankful that you have such a loving family. It is wonderful that Matt is able to be with you on your most difficult days. What does he do for a living??? Please know that I am praying for complete healing for you and especially for peace for you on the journey. Love you!!❤❤❤

Just sitting here reflecting on your experiences. Two thoughts: How wonderful it is that you have SO MANY different people sending such positive energy your way. I myself, smudge and utilise my crystals with your healing in mind.. others are praying..etc there's just so much healing energy and intention being sent your way. We know you need medical intervention.. but I believe the magnitude of energy directed at you is not insignificant. Second thought: How wonderful is 'My Darling!?' What a wonderfully supportive man you have walking this tough journey with you. You know.. it is hard to fathom.. but sometimes things in life happen, solely to bond us together in ways that cannot be broken. I'm so thankful for your partner, and his example of utter unconditional love is not lost on me. Fight on. Fight on. All the support you need surrounds you. Use it to build up your physical and mental stamina and kick cancer's arse, my girl!!

May I respectfully say that everyone is on their own journey and we all have our own feelings which are entirely ours and don't need explaining. I find it very difficult when people offer stories of how people they know have survived this and that. Although fellow warriors stories can be inspiring they can also bring you down if you're not doing so well. I feel its better just to offer prayers and support. I'm speaking personally not for Tiff of course. Tiff take all the hugs your lovely Matt and family have to offer and carry right on your own path. Sending much love beautiful girl. 💙💙💙
