Tiffany, this is great news. I had a cancerous lung nodule (metastasis from colon cancer) surgically removed 11 years ago. I had many follow up scans, but no further treatment. I am now working full time, being cancer free. I hope the same for you in your future!

So good to hear. I read that surgery is a better option for cure than ablation. I hope Tiffany considers this. Did you also get additional systemic treatment such as chemo or immunotherapy after surgery?

@@Taniiiia393 No, no further treatment. Only follow-up scans. I did chemo after the initial surgery for colon cancer, but not after removal of the lung met. I would have needed really good evidence as to how that would have improved my survival to have gone through chemo again.

And whilst I‘m giving out unsolicited advice another thing I would make sure to ask your team is to clearly explain to you what the pros and cons of surgery vs ablation are. I‘m no expert but I can imagine the main advantage of ablation is that its minimally invasive. However I‘m under the impression that the odds of a definitive cure would be better with surgery? It is better to be safe than sorry as Cancer is insidious. Not to sound pessimistic, just be cautious. It appears the first hosp you went to was right when they suspected it had metastasized to the lung. It usually takes time to show up on tests. Likely they can still treat but making the best informed choices is crucial at times like this.
@Taniiiia393 Жыл бұрын
@@lindc1070 agreed, the first hospital seems to have been correct. Sometimes you have to be that patient that takes too much time from the med team by asking 200 questions and asking for extra scans and extra tests. We have to be our own best advocate as with stage 4 its a matter of life and death.

Your happy reaction to having cancer in your lung is something I completely identify with -- in 2018 when it was clear that my husband had cancer, his oncologist had to do scans to determine what kind of cancer he had, pancreatic or Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. When we discovered that it was NHL, our whole family celebrated! It was still cancer, but pancreatic is almost always deadly, while my husband's cancer had a very good treatment option, (and it was successful for him; he is 3-1/2 years cancer-free). So I totally relate to the happiness regarding one cancer over the other! :) OH... and CONGRATULATIONS that your liver is healthy!!! You got this on the rest!!!

Glad for the news tiffany but please make them do a biopsy or something with the liver please. I am not trying to make you worry but as a nurse I have seen this many many times and it's better to be safe than sorry. Luv you and sending prayers. Ask them for a pet scan too it is more definative

Tiffany, you are an amazingly brave and special person. Following you has made me, and I am sure others, a better person. Your joy over a pen makes me smile, and yes I had the same pen when I was younger and I loved the colors too!! You will come through this lung situation with flying colors as well! God, His Son Jesus and the Holy Spirit are with you. Love and prayers to you Tiff from Connecticut, USA.

I’m so glad it’s not in the liver too. I’ve just watched 2 or 3 videos, so this comment might be all over. lol Your vacation video was so pretty. I love the painting you brought home. It will look so good in your house. I feel for Amma and Matt getting the news and having to wait while you get your scan. I have to get a MRI this week. I keep getting headaches. So they want to be sure that cancer has not spread to my brain. The next few days will be nerve wracking. In 2 more weeks I’ll be getting the Net Spot PET scan. So the next few weeks will just be a real joy. lol. When I was little in the 70’s and a teen in the 80’s I use to love to get the pens that had 4 or more colors. The 4 color pen was white on top with the 4 color switches and blue on the bottom. Oh how I loved that pen. Every now and then. Maybe it was around Easter or Christmas. I would get a pretty pen that had several colors in it. They were always a little thicker and had a pretty decorative body of the pen. I haven’t had Tic Tac’s in a long time. I’m going to see if I can get that flavor here. I love both Cherry and menthol. So they sound good.

Such good news tiff! I could feel your spark come back near the end of the video! I feel for Matt and Amma. There may be an element of them treating you in the same way they did 18 months ago when you first got your diagnosis. But you are stronger and experienced and more powerful than ever before. And that will take come adjustment from them. The most important thing is that you will be ok and it will be back to normal again! 💙💙💙

Hi darling. I just started watching but I skipped to the results first. I couldn't wait and watch the rest afterwards. Yes the liver is very good news. And it's great they catched the cancer in the lung very early. And yeah no chemo 🎉. You got this 💙. I'm going to see my neurosurgeon on tuesday. So I'll know more soon. Love you lots 💙💙

Have u been restaged at 4 or is this a new incidence of cancer of the lung? I don’t understand why no chemo if it is in the lung? Seems like has to travel through blood stream to get to the lung. I’m confused. Many prayers Tiffany 🙏 . We got this 💙!!

This is the best result for stage 4 cancer, once it spreads from the primary cancer source it’s better it spreads to a near organ as opposed to a distant organ. Your attitude is amazing. I’m praying for you and all those with this horrific disease x

So im just wondering what good is all that chemo or radiation if it spread to lungs anyways. Ive got to rethink my view on chemo now

Im so glad that the lung spot is the only cancer issue. Ablation surgery is quick. I have had radiofrequency ablation on my back several times to block pain. I have MS and Rheumatoid Arthritis so there’s a lot of pain here. But the procedure is 15-20 mins. It’s outpatient for me but may be totally different for you of course since it’s a different area. I’m so happy that prayers were answered! WE GOT THIS!! 💙💙💙💙💙

@@krimezofkolor4683You can do it. Going to the doctor will only make things better, not worse. Better, because you'll know what, if anything, you're dealing with. Ignoring it will allow it to develop and it will be a much bigger problem to deal with.There are lots of support groups, for all kinds of illnesses, and there are even support workers who can be assigned to you to support you on whatever journey you need to take.
