The album, CCCLX, is a stoner-opera that blends new rap production, film scores and modern club music. Front to back, the record was designed for a live show where physical theatre props litter the stage. Ignoring the tricks of modern festival stages, CCCLX keeps Lu in the spotlight. The only ‘bedroom producer’ you wanna see play live - Lunice has an abandon for the rules: a product of the beat scene before ever being known for TNGHT - on CCCLX, vocalists appear anonymously for 16 bars before being whipped back into the mix of stark, minimal production. CCCLX is a trip.
