Rob, have you tried 6.5 Grendel? It's a pretty solid intermediate round with a ton of bullet options being in the 6.5 caliber. Good for yotes and mid-sized deer and hogs.

Must admit... I do love Gabe's thumbhole black pepper laminate stock on that rifle. Leupold scopes are fantastic, nice choice. I'd rate them up there with Schmidt and Bender when it comes to a more "serious" pro optic experience.

Love my bergara. My .270 setup stacks rounds easily once i figured out the loads. Also +1 for the Leupold! Best in the business and there customer service cant be compared. I lost my caps on a range day and they next day'd a set for free. Helps they are local to me too

Here in Newfoundland Canada we had such a problem with people poaching moose with 22-250’s they had to banned them during big game season so you can only carry them outside the big game season .
