@SLIMM12092 жыл бұрын
This isn’t his best verse but probably one of his most important one to him personally. He showed it by how much time he spent on the record. I don’t believe Jay-Z thought it would get this much attention but I’m sure he’s not complaining either. Question, I wonder is it fearful to be this famous? This is why 3 Stacks retired. But at the same time, it’s a blessing to be revered and respected this much that people take the time to listen to whatever you have to say. That’s a responsibility right there. All about having a balance.

Jay Z is a five percenter, which he is affiliated with the Five Percent Nation was formed in 1963 by Clarence 13X, who was a member of the Nation of Islam but he split from them later. Jay has been studying this since his teens. The Five Percenters believe the black man is God. Rakim, Busta Rhymes, Public Enemy, Mos Def, Nas, Jay-Z, Jay Electronica, Brand Nubians, Wu-Tang Clan, Big Daddy Kane, Nore, AZ and others. That’s why his nickname Jay-Hova was given to him by his mentor Jaz O plus it also mean God MC. Jay also grew up in a Christian household and his grandfather was a preacher. When he found out that his grandfather molested his aunt when he was younger, it made him reject religion but after studying Islam, Buddhism, and Christianity, he forgave his grandfather, Jay felt like he found his place in this world. And he of course he also believes in God. I mean he thanked God from one of the award shows years ago.

8:05 Lupe reminds me of the classic ‘Computer Wiz’ from a Sci-fi movie 🍿…lol

Lupe one of the GOATS too, name another rapper that has ever used the words "pavlovian response" in any circumstance in the history of rap 😂

I do agree with Lu.. I usually say this verse is up there to me with his "What's Free?" verse from Meek's album. His "BAM" verse may also be in this list... of longer verses... Also 'We Family' is also one of my fav JAY verses/songs as well.

In my opinion my favorite recent Jay Z verse is his verse on What It Feels Like with Nipsey Hussle

Makes senss why there was a time he clearly stated he never wanna get on a song with Jay because Jay can be a beast sometimes and he doesn't want that smoke. But now he probably can

THANK YOU LUPE! Every verse on 4:44 is better than that verse. Ignorant Shit verse is better than that verse.

Lyrical Jayz is hands down the BEST! Mind you the man has NEVER written his rhymes. This man has spit of the top (pause) for over TWO DECADES and till this day doesn't say the same thing twice...till this day stays relevant...till this day cant be touched!!

This is one of the reasons why lupe is one of the greatest lyricist.He’s not out here in a pat on the back line like every other rapper when jay z manages to tie his shoes correctly.He knows top their lyricism and this verse is just not it.

The “lil nigga” verse, 3rd verse in trouble is one of my favorite Jay-z verses.
