@@croissant87712 I'm pretty sure he's referring to all of us that have an opinion of Ye's actions. I understand why people get mad at him. As a black man, I roll my eyes often with Ye. But that being said his contradictions often times highlight our own contradictions. Often time it seems like the public's frustrations with Ye are always surface leveled and not considering how this man communicates. Most people have not bothered to listen to his long form interviews. Ye talks like most older black dudes in my neighborhood. He's not always articulate, he communicates in "rough drafts". That does not excuse his behavior but it maybe gives some pause to say "everyone is different and believes different things".

That's funny because last year Lupe was pointing out how crazy and foolish Kanye is ... But y'all Kanye fans are too immature to ever listen to criticism
@fatlann2 жыл бұрын
this is why Lupe is my favorite lyrical artist but also with the way that he speaks, and he doesn’t even realize but he writes books as he’s talking. he speaks like he has a PHD in English. But the main emphasis is that as Lupe said, that Kanye has been an enigma of the human condition: pain is a vessel that can translate into different directions….I personally can honestly stand on the hill about how he’s deeply traumatized from physical injury, his mom’s loss from physical injury from a surgery that went wrong, being belittled and honestly psychologically tortured by being told he’s not shit. but I know the real Kanye is there, deep down, trying his best to be the best he can be despite the pain. We all profit off of Kanye’s pain, whether it’s enjoyment or even people wearing their sneakers everyday to look like him….a reference to what Lupe already said about how for 20 years ppl talked like him acted like him etc. Everybody wants a piece of Kanye, just like everybody wanted a piece of Marilyn. I think Ye has good intentions, but when you are depicting pain, pain can be a vessel for “demons” to slip through. Amazingly well said. I honestly have a very Chicago/Chicagoland perspective on mental health, having gone through the system many times personally and being misdiagnosed & having been in major accidents. I don’t think he’s this like “bipolar” man and all that….I think he was growing up in Chicagoland where it’s tough as fuck to be a creative, and especially at his time. People gave you shit. And on top of it, he was a confident black man and at his time of emergence: people were 2000s racist as fuck. I don’t think he’s the character that white media depicts him as. He contrarians, yes. But he’s soulful deep down, and his trauma has possessed him. To me he’s not bipolar. I think he’s been through a lot and the world regularly tries to consume & discard him. But there’s that door to him, via his trauma and his pain because it’s trauma after trauma after trauma. Just my Chicagoland analysis. Loved what Lupe said. Lupe is wise. He always knows how to speak his mind brilliantly. Thank you Lupe. I pray that Kanye is given the chance to comeback, with the work that he’s done to receive a great comeback because he is struggling with mental trauma. I believe he will. He’s been a media takeout for so many years and hurt and harassed, trying to empower. Chicago perspective is that we see so much and undergo so much that when people are tripping bc of trauma we know: we know that they aren’t actually like that. But now white media has sensationalized things and the whole bipolar narrative has heavily been hurting people (bc of his diagnosis and the way that it was handled around) since 2018. A lot of people spreading the “egomaniac” “bipolar” “narcissism” narratives, don’t understand mental health or have never taken an actual psychology class nor read Google scholar from accurate sources…..👀👀👀and get their information from: social media lol. Bipolar is rare, and complex. Idk how to describe the difference between the Chicago mentality about mental health and people who genuinely are struggling, it’s difficult to describe. Due to lack of resources, and violence etc etc a lot of people have PTSD. He just needs to sit in therapy and process, with someone who he can trust who won’t rat out his personal information or someone who won’t put medical biases onto him. Because a lot of people fuck over celebrities and it’s probably hurting him with who is going to media takeout him or overdramatize his situation medically within bias…. Food for thought.

I just wanna thank you for this soul food. Having been down roads I can't unsee, it makes absolute sense how the entire process of diagnosing patients is financially motivated, too. First off, the more serious the diagnosis, the more certain that insurance will pay out. And this has created a pipeline of acceptable madness among the populace. People sometimes want that social security disability, too, because maybe they have unresolved trauma or for some other reason. Security. A little slice of that UBI promised land. But here we are, 2022, and that promised land is a sunken place. UBI might as well be Universal Basic Ignorance because who tf sits around and takes crumbs from a digital spigot that can be shut off at any time based on social credits? Ye's story is just a tale of things to come... the details change, the players change, but the same beat goes on. People playing people, because the upper hand is not the same as Hand Washes Hand. There's always going to be someone who wants to play the victim narrative, that's just how Karpman Drama Triangle works. There's always going to be someone who wants to claim moral high ground, for political or socially conscious reasons. But overreactions don't bode well for the system, itself, because just imagine what could happen once the structure is in place for hypercontrols? Why, a dictator, of course, but if you're lucky, the dictator's "benevolent".

Kanye cares. That's why he's as unstable as he is. He cares about it all. Many well wishes to Kanye for inner peace and joyful development!

With all due respect to both Lupe and his opinion, the hot take that fact that different ethnic White groups have historically (and modern times) been more than willing to disadvantage each other in extreme ways serves as evidence of Whiteness not being of importance to White, undercut his own acknowledgement of White Supremacy and was rather pedestrian.

I wish more people listened to Lupe's words/way of thinking as opposed to Kanye. Kanye is great at inspiring change but he's not the leader black people want him to be. Lupe has way more potential.
