The was a excellent interview. The most detailed interview I've seen lupe give about his time at atlantic. It explains why he had that weird period in his career & why he's so on point now. He's been phenomenal this past decade cuz he's just able to create...Very similar to Nas. Left to their own devices the outcome is greatness. Salute to Angela Yee for having him on.

He is a narcissist and believes that he is smarter than everyone in the room. Lupe just recently went on a Kendrick Twitter hating spree even opening Twitter spaces telling us that people should not be involved or comment on HIPHOP unless you have a PHD, Logic and Drake are better rappers than Kendrick yet he has a course teaching his M.I.T students on Kendrick's music/lyrics?! Twitter users were not having it and Lupe had to delete his tweets and stated that he had love for Kendrick 😂 Lupe also confessed that he is working on advancing AI in the music industry, the same agenda as that popstar culture vulture Drake! Kim?? Lil Kim
@Msboochie2
@Msboochie2 2 ай бұрын
Lil’ Kim? I never heard of one. Well, I suppose if there's a course on Biggie it would have to include the artists he created. He wrote her songs, along with teaching her to deliver accompanied with the refer tracks where he is rapping the songs for her, he came up with video treatments, and even modeled her look after the Jamaican dancehall girls. Creating an artist like Lil’ Kim was genius for his own career. She legitimized his player image. I could see that. Biggie’s marketing schemed were top tier, especially for rap at that time. I could only imagine what he would have come up with, had he lived longer.

They’re kind of bench marks as far as his music. You can tell when a fan picked up Lupe by which album they mention. They’re all great but the spacing just shows how long Lupe’s been at it. Like the difference in Lil Wayne between Tha Carter II and Tha Carter III. If you know you know.
@topbackpodcast2615

@@khrashingphantom9632 Strange comparison but I know what you mean. Lupe Fiasco from Food & Liquor is completely different from the Lupe we see from Tetsuo & Youth, or even the Samurai version we have now. Thats almost 20 years of evolution and of Lupe sharpening his skills. Tha Carter 2 and 3 Lil Wayne was also very drastic, but only 3 years apart from each other. Honestly when I hear those albums back to back it almost feels like a completely different artist. The way he rhymes was different, and also his voice was almost completely different. The transformation was remarkable. Lupe didn't transform his style like Wayne did, but in my opinion he mastered his style.

Another reason why the music industry currently lacks emotions and creativity, the popstar Drake and Lupe are in the same camp fast tracking AI in the HIPHOP genre. Lupe is my favorite rapper hands down. I love how i can listen to his music over 15 years just now get a concept of a certain song. I also am digging that hat! Anyone who where i can find it?
