I get where Lupe is coming from with this new tech to assist in writing. But he’s someone I can say I can trust to an extent to want to put in the work. What’s to say that others won’t just look for a shortcut in writing raps? Hiphop already has something against ghostwriters as rappers who use them aren’t rated that highly. So what’s stopping some other rappers to just use this new tech to help not just assist them in writing raps? This feels like it’ll just replace ghostwriters. And now we can’t really be sure if the bars being laid out are from the writer’s pen or from a machine.

This is actually Hip-Hop History! Shout out to Lupe, i'm so glad he went the , "AI Assisted" route in development, versus "AI only". I think any level of songwriter should consider using this tool if even just for the brainstorming. The fans win in the end!

I like this as like a stepping stone for newcomers who are amateurs when it comes to writing but I hope Lupe doesn’t use it on his projects just because one of the things that makes us love Lupe is that this man is writing all of these complex verses DENSE with super clever metaphors and similes ALL BY HIMSELF. It inspires us. I’m not against pushing hip hop forward with technology, but using AI to help urself write makes the listening experience feel less authentic and heartfelt. All this aside, we still love ya Lu!🤞

Completely agree - even if I think that embrassing this technology rather than rejecting it is the right way to go, I don't see it being sustainable. What I enjoy in lyrics is knowing that they 100% came from the mind of a real person who tried to convey a message or an emotion. I definitely don't feel as touched if/when I know that the lyrics have been opportunistically been enhanced by an AI tool :-(
