Brought lots of memories of how life used to be. My family migrated to Australia in 1965. We used to live in Luqa. Thank you for this video.

I'm from Gzira & we were a bit more modern even in the 60's! However...we've deffinely come a long long way!! From Barracks to high end tourism & bussines & modernisation of our tiny island...& as I'm an open minded person who lives in the 21st century I know which one I perfer!! Although we now have other problems..different problems (what country hasn't) & the corruption has been eye watering!!! but at least we all have enough to eat & lovely homes & shopping! & we don't have to emigrate!! Ps. I really enjoyed this & passed it on!! Thanks😊

This is a fantastic video I wish to see others like this if it is possible. My family left Malta for Australia in 1968 and this video shows a lot of how life was at that time. many thanks for posting this video.

the stupidity of the Maltese rivalry. today its politics tomorrow its football then the next day its festa....who cares as long as we rival other Maltese.
@samsaliba15324 жыл бұрын
fisioserv Why shouldn’t there be rivalries? It’s part of our identity, having a rivalry on literally everything. As long as no one gets hurt, what’s wrong with it?

Malta is what it is today because of foreigners and agressive development, don’t you get it you moron.

@@samsaliba1532 This Doc was xenophobic for those times. Depends, how one sees progress!
@mickeycrilly18393 жыл бұрын
They are not xenophobic they are worried there government are selling passports to anyone ,there jobs are becoming worth less wages as people from outside will work for less and live in shit while doing it, the church and its Christian way of life is still important in that it keeps community’s together the rivalries are not violent they are healthy rivalries, I love malta and want to end my days there leaving all I own to the local clubs so people can still come together, politics along with bent money mad violent politics will be the down fall of malta as it is here in the U.K. and in the USA, why can’t people see far left lunatic parties fail ffs ,poor malta

@@mickeycrilly1839 Mickey for some people change never comes. It is up to the future generations to judge those of the past but do present generation have the same moral values to judge my father's generation?

What a ridiculous slur. Malta is too tiny for its own people -- most Maltese have had to emigrate because the island simply can't sustain a large population -- let alone to be able to accommodate migrants and refugees from elsewhere.
