The green seekers you have are lethal to pollock up here in Scotland we find. The white ones work well too but we use different colours for different conditions. When it’s overcast we use darker lures and the green natural ones and whites come out when it’s bright 👍 I had a day at Oban recently when all they would take was white sandeels and seekers. Funny how it works out. You could also vary the speed of your retrieve and allow your lure to sink to the bottom sometimes. Great video, thanks for making it

Martin in that shallow water the 21 gram much better .. always stick with natural colours in clear water .. for the small school bass you can’t go wrong with a 10 gram Abu Toby .. and you have always got the chance of a big bass .. I had my pB bass at 8lb on a tiny Abu toby 10 gram natural Colour in clear water when there feeding on the bait fish ..

Thank you Toby, things to think about then. I've got plenty of lures to try.

The water looks crystal clear Martin, if I couldn’t make the distance I’d have changed the rig to a Carolina rigged soft bait behind a two oz drilled bullet. Tight lines

Another thoroughly enjoyable episode in this series Martin. Chest mount view was awesome. As far as natural or shiny seeker goes, I don’t think it really matters, sometimes the fish just won’t bite!! Whilst you are buying another 28g it would be rude not to get a pair of waders, gives you more options. Looking forward to the next episode with anticipation 👍👍

Thank you Pat, wrt waders, i already have a pair.

try a raw version then, my custom pattern seeker is just the job for the conditions in the video

The best thing about lure fishing Martin your always travelling light ..if you don’t catch just keep moving until you find the feeding fish ..never stay in one spot to long if you’d not catching on the lures ..great video as always 🎣🎣

Here's a little tip you might look into:- Putt more line on the reel, until the spool is just about full. That will give a better casting distance., by virtue of the fact that the line meets less resistance from the rim of the spool when peeling off. I know it works for me. Keep this series going my friend, It's proving to be interesting.
@TheAutisticAngler3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Graham, I had originally filled the spool, but knots and stuff depleted the line til this was all that was left, refill needed. Thank you for your comment about this series, i had no idea how it would be received.

Thank you Liz, i appreciate that catching is less likely using this method, but there's a lot more finesse involved, and a lot of thinking too.

i learned this from the scandanavian channels but if you take all the colour from the seekers they have a plain almost lead finish "raw" they call it but it makes a killer pattern on clear conditions for bass and sea-trout

What a great day and a great subscriber!! The 28g worked well but I don't know if the fish would pick that particular hook up unless they were very hungry. I really liked how you started to work the lure at the end of the video. We're you able to fish that way for long? Can't wait for your next video!!!
