Your fishing the rocks at the right hand side of Dunstable castle right, fished there’s 45 years ago, 5lb collie and 4 lb cod loved it mate, now live in NZ , , even better to see the fish are still there, no safety gear in them days, good on ya mate 😀👍

Hiya my chum, I was indeed . Still fish there, not as big as they were. Hope you're wetting a line in NZ and thank you for watching. It means a lot .
@karlpearson80326 ай бұрын
@@northeastangling I certainly have been wetting a line for nearly 30 years, have caught kingfish up to 24 kilos on top water lures fishing off rocks and estuaries, also snapper up to 8.3 kilos land based and many other species, this is truly a fisherman’s paradise, though you still have to put the hard work in as in all fishing adventures. Tight lines Karl NZ

I've just been there for the 1st time. Couple coalies and few mackerel. Really enjoyed it but it was canny busy. Walk is a killer haha love your content BTW 👍

Thank you for watching. The walk is just evil, it takes me days to recover 😅. It will be chockablock from now. Glad you got some sport. Tight lines 👍

Great video as always. I used to dive and i used to suffer from sea sickness too. I started talking travel sickness tablets. After a dive one day i noticed that id forgot to take the tablet and didnt get sea sick. Ive not suffered from it since.

Cheers Max, yes, it is probably more a mind over matter thing. I just hate that feeling. Probably the reason why I bring it on. Tight lines and safe dives my chum.

Enjoyed the video Darren, haven't done any sea fishing in years, used to fish around the Donegal coast, you're right about safety especially if you're on your own, some of those mackerel were a good size.👍🎣
@northeastangling6 ай бұрын
Hi Sean, thank you for watching. It's not worth taking any risks, for any fish. Yeah, the mackerel are a good stamp on the Northumberland coastline. Tight lines 👍

@@northeastangling It is actually 'a thing' though and works pretty well. It's a proper old school rock climbing technique from way, way back in the day before there were any decent climbing shoes being made.

Not to criticise but you miss read your conditions and what was happening in front of you. In the opening minutes of the video I counted 3 fish jumping the surface and with the surface chop, it was bass chasing. Surface shallow depth pencil should of been used. People get to caught up in spinning heavy deep when the specimen are a lot higher in the water column
@northeastangling6 ай бұрын
Thank you Martin. I did not see anything at the time. Looking back through I see them. I guess , fishing and talking to camera can be distracting. My target was however Mackerel, hence the metals. Maybe next time I will carry some Pencils . Thanks for watching. 👍

Correct, this is why when I went to Newbiggin Church tonight with my son, I looked and said no, it was bottom water and meant walking right on to the rocks that were covered in weed and wet/slippy. I'm not even sure where to try for Mackerel as I am like you, I prefer peace, quiet spots to fish. I don't mind the odd fisherman but tried Blyth pier and will keep my thoughts to myself 😂
