Found your channel through Piscator UK (i think its called that). Been on the Clyde all week whilst on leave landing 7 biggest about 4lbs. 6lb diawa sensor straight through to a 10g toby. Keep up the videos mate, really enjoy them whilst away with work.

That’s awesome, really appreciate this mate, I haven’t fished in over a month due to not having time at the moment, but I’m hoping to get out with the fly rod this weekend if weather permits, so fingers crossed 😆 and as for the Toby it’s a lure I haven’t used in years, I must add it to the tackle box for future reference, thanks 🤘🏻

those wee sprat lures are highly effective somedays, if you use 2 split rings between lure and hook it helps the lever the lure a bit less but there still the houdini's of all fishes, great video pal 👍👍

@@theanglingfront thanks! We're staying in a nice little Riverside cottage, but the fishing on the river costs £240 per day! So I think maybe the sea Loch nearby.....Pollock, makeral, and maybe dare I say sea trout! That looks a bonny spot where you fished. It's an area I haven't explored, do you need a permit?
@nonickname39192 жыл бұрын
@@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 Hey, good luck on Mull! Sounds expensive that stretch! Is it the Aros River? I'm there next week, can you tell me the Sea Loch you're talking about. as I've been a few times to muLL and can't recall a Sea loch?
@soultrader57fishingandmusi252 жыл бұрын
@@nonickname3919I went last week, sea Loch is Loch na Keal, but it was seemingly devoid of sea trout! Small fish were hitting my swivel when I was spinning, I switched to fly tackle and caught lots of tiny pollock. The aros is private now apart from tenga, which isn't very good for salmon and sea trout. I found some sea trout in an estuary, hard work but caught some small finnock on the fly as the tide crept in, great fun in the sunset! Marvellous place, must get back again! Sorry been bound to secrecy about the estuary, but got permission to fish free from the owner, just asked politely! 😀 There's so much potential out there in the magic land across the sound, would take years to check out the likely sea trout spots. Prob best earlier in the year for proper sea trout, I only really saw finnock. Is there a Facebook group or west coast forum for you boys? Would like to chat more about west coast stuff. My mull trip you tube vid will be out in a week or so, still yet to compose the music 🤣👍👍

@@nonickname3919 ps the expensive river was the Baa. Lovely pools, very scenic but didn't see anything apart from little brownies in there, it's difficult to believe they ever sell any tickets when there's so much out there on cheap tickets or free for the asking

Another good video. Haven't fished up there since I was a kid. Is the parking still a bit of a nightmare? We used to have issues with the locals laying claim to every lay-by and blade of grass. The sprats are fantastic lures, we used to use anything that was blue and silver. I might take a drive up this weekend and give it a go. Thanks again for another good one.

Thanks mate, really appreciate it, and I haven’t had any bother with regards to parking yet, although most of the time I’m on foot as I am local 😃

@@theanglingfront had a few back in the day. I still fish marks near by that all throw up plenty of fish with the odd specimen among them. It can be pandemonium in the summer when the mackies are in so I tend to go a little further round the corner out of the way.

@@redsoutandabout. That’s awesome, have you ever bait fished the area with success? As for me I stopped bait fishing it over 7 years ago as I would literally only pick up dogfish and small codling 😂 might be worth a cast in the near future
