LURE FISHING| testing my new set up with great success!

Hello and thank you for watching my video today. Another lure fishing video here, with time limited at the moment and carp approaching spawning I've been really enjoying going out for a few hours and catching some fish!
My new set up worked brilliantly and I'm sure it will be the downfall of many more fish to come, I've already since got myself some new lures to try too.

I ues a 1to7g rod for my perch fishing and 10ib brade one a 1000 size real and I must admit using proper gear makes a difference 👌 👍

Nice set up Dan, it's great when the rod, reel & everything work together. I've started mullet spinning with small mepps & my braid is bright illuminous green, doesn't seem to deter them at all.

It's made such a difference mate, done a few trips with it and I've done well. Spinning for mullet sounds like a lot of fun! And yeah I'm sure in reality the line colour makes very little difference, just makes me feel better I think 😄

Morning Dan. Nice set up buddy and ideal for the situation. I’ve got that exact reel but in the 1000 size… it’s the cheapest Shimano spinning reel I have but the quality is amazing …. Lovely canal to that is ( that bridge is a bit sketchy if your car is a bit low to the ground 😬😵) and Last time I was there I had some chub and it’s always been windy when I’ve been as it was in your video. …. I always use ultra light gear for all my lure fishing and for me it does me fine … I never use a lure over 10g and them small grubs and jigs are great using that type of rod you’ve got Dan…. The sensation and feel from this style of fishing is 2nd to none in my opinion … It’s great fun catching fish of all sizes and then when you strike into something big it’s like “ here we go “ !!! Travel light. Keep it light and have fun …. For me that’s Fishing … all Day long !! Thank you for the Sunday morning video buddy and won’t be long before the river is open .. It's a great reel and I did consider the 1000 size but thought maybe in the future I could get another spool and perhaps use it for bigger lures or feeder fishing etc.... I did see a shoal of good chub at least 10 up to maybe 3lbs. But they were very spooky. Buzzing for the river, just knocked up a batch of my river paste and should be out soon with it. Yes mate I love it, already been out and caught a few more. Well sorry to say I've just tried a new lure and it was more successful, slug 37mm. Caught more but they were smaller. Food for thought 🤔
