you can keep it from flipping over by making sure when you rig it the bottom of the frog is at a slight angle like a boat. So the nose would be pointed up slightly. This helps with the top water presentation as well

Not busting your balls or anything but I'm in the middle of editing a video that the inventor of Rage Tail filmed last year. He says he designed the Toad to be fished with a 5/0 EWG. He says that using a 5/0 makes it to where it almost never runs upside down. I haven't tested it out yet but the guys is a freekin genius so I can't help but take his word for it.

I was using the 2/0 tonight. With the super toads. Guaranteed i would of won a tournament here in Wisconsin. Awesome lures. I'm going to go get a pack of those tomorrow or 2 maybe 3. And don't forget super glue because they will get ripped up.. lmfao

i have the a lot of the plastic frogs and i would recommend the Stanley Ribbit frogs. To me the rage tails action is better but the ribbit frog is way more durable. but its all about preference.

@virginiabassin yea that happens..u gotta make sure ur not reeling to fast and have ur rod tip at the right height..also u wanna make sure that the frog is rigged nice and straight

Good stuff. Every time I try to use those they flip over when Im reeling in and sometimes twist while swimming. What am I doing wrong?

yes if you use a bigger hook and rig it so the bait is kinda bowed up it will not flip over....i have been using this bait since it came out...i have found that using regular ewg hooks instead of screw in hooks helps with better hook ups...the regular ewg hook will pop out of the frog exposing the hookpoint whereas the screw in hook does not...and always set the hook as you do with a worm, on a semi-slacked line to 'snap' the hook out of the bait since its rigged weedless..

Have you tried using a weightless lizard? I have boring vid on my video of me tossing a lizard in muck and it worked quite well. It actually outfished a stanley ribbit
