I worked in Sanity for 4 years, got some hectic stories but also met so many good as people. Got swung at a few times too. I remember bumping into Wombat walking through Northgate after he had been touring on the mainland and he was carrying heaps of full shopping bags to take back to his friends and family, such a legend. You're doing really good talking to the young ones, communicating with them.. you have my respect. I came from a very good lifestyle, l travel to different countries & I learn so much... l love elderly ppl, having lost my parents. I'm subscribing here bc you could teach me about youths. The young lady you were walking with, could do so well, she's quite clever... Well done 🙏 A lady I've known for a long time, recently lost her son. He died from an over dose, the saddest part,he was by himself. May he rest in peace 🙏 🙏

It was when I was first hanging out in Glenorchy (14/15ish) and the old urban tale was if you wore red in the bus mall whilst the GM was around you would be in a bit of trouble.

I live in Glenorchy but not born here, 10 years in Tas, interstate move from Qld. I lived around few areas in Tas - Claremont, Moonah, Austins Ferry, and Glenorchy last 3 years. It’s very central to everything which I like, I don’t drive and bus it everywhere I need to go, it’s quite easy to get around. Good video, stay cool & blessed ❤✌️

I have lived in Glenorchy for 43 years. Still here. I think it was much more hectic 30 years ago than it is now. It peaked in the late 90s I believe.

From people stealing knives from Target and running out to the bus mall to stab people, to the bus mall becoming fuckin' Royal Rumble 1997 every afternoon, To the Maccas window getting smashed inside out nearly every second week so it got shut down. Seen a lot of shit on the Glenorchy streets growing up. Shout out Wombat and Rapswun Glenorchy born and bred! sick as seeing J. Barrow get a shout out too he has been a massive supporter of Wombat since the very start much love and respect to that crew!
