A hauntingly beautiful song - one of Lush's best from their early years.

I always thought that Emma Anderson, Belinda Butcher, Rachel Goswell, and Miki Berenyi should get together and form a group called Slush.

They all could slush all over my 50 year old self. I am staying waiting for one to discover me and take me in wedlock.

This is such a beautiful song, that I can't really find the words to describe it... Such a pity I was actually born in 1991 and I missed that beautiful music era... Lush, Slowdive, Ride and the rest: Really, really miss ya...

is it normal that I need to repeat this video to hear the song over and over and over again?

Absolutely right! This tempo is perfect and shows one of my favourite songs off to perfection. RIP Lush, my all time fav band...

I saw Lush exactly 8 weeks before this performance in Fitchburg, MASS opened for Janes Addiction.

Love Lush! Of all their songs this one makes me think of London, it's got that London sound if that makes any sense.

God! The emotions this song invokes, can't even explain. Haunting, beautiful, yet raw... just wonderful. Monochrome knocks me on my ass every time too.

This song depicts the early 90’s vibe by a forgotten band. Thanks for posting. Love this song so soothing.

First of only 2 times I saw them. Didn't even expect them to be very good but they made a damn good noise. Been hooked ever since.

+Catfish Deity This song is on their set list for the reunion. Great, isn't it ? Especially given they never played it since Steve left the band in the end of that very year…

That makes me really happy. Here's to hoping for Atlanta dates!

I love this song! This band seems forgotten, but their sound is not stale or ordinary even now (omg) 18 years later!

Possibly the only successful pop song ever recorded in 5/4 time.

Come on little man now all's said and done All that I'm asking is you show me some fun I need purple veins and scenic greens They can make me soar and touch extremes I just fell down from whitest skies And now I start to realise And all the colours talk to me And if I had wings then I could take you in I'd stay on the ground and I could teach you things The grass is strewn with blades of gold These sights and songs I have been told All hopes desires that seem to sing Come on little man now you're times nearly through Colours are dripping down red and blue I'm standing in the middle of a great glass ball I'm told that I've nothing but I'm having it all I just rose up from blackest seas My eyes were opened so widely And its a shame to end this way

Agreed. It's a little slow, but I'm glad I got to see it.

No they're not forgotten. Not at all, believe me. Get a look on the Light From A Dead Star site to check it out.

This is so weird - I was at the festival and at that concert I was about 3 metres in front of Miki. I remember locking my legs in the fence so as not to get pushed away.

push the playback speed in here on this song to 1.25. That's about the right tempo for this song. 😁
@nfalls758 жыл бұрын
Is this whole set posted somewhere? The audio quality is great. Rare for Lush live clips.
@julosx8 жыл бұрын
It must be buried somewhere in Danish TV archives.

The only live Lush vidio that shows Miki playing that beautiful Rickenbacker 12 string guitar. It always sounded so much better than the Gibson that she replaced it with.

not their standard sound engineer then, you can actually hear them singing for a change ;-)

well, on a universal scale, i for one would struggle classing this as "incredibly important" class band though.

I like this performance's tempo. Does it have to be frantic and frenetic? No. I think not.
@Iggytommy11 жыл бұрын
that would be a hot band. Can Harriet Wheeler join on vocals?
