I have pretty bad anxiety. Not afraid to say I watch/listen to these deep dives as they create the most calming/ learning feeling. Erica has a really warm and caring presence while being really informative and excited about what you guys do. I love the ethos of Lush. Just wanted to say thank you for helping me feel better through these videos.

@warmbyrek6 жыл бұрын
Diane Mary they just made some new shampoo bars with no toxic sulfates (only Sodium Coco Sulfate which is really gentle and derives from coconut oil)
@kimmyswizzle6 жыл бұрын
Sulfates are present in LUSH’s hair masks because 1) they act as an emulsifier, keeping all the other ingredients mixed together so the oils, butters, and liquids don’t separate. And 2) it helps the mask wash out when you’re removing it in the shower. If sulfates were not present in the hair masks, it would be VERY difficult to remove all the lovely moisturizing ingredients from your hair, even when using shampoo to help. You would end up needing to shampoo TWICE to get everything out, which would actually dry out your hair more than you think the small amount of sulfates are :)
@paprika86886 жыл бұрын
Lush understands that Sulfates are drying so they make sure to balance that with very hydrating ingredients.

I ended up getting one of my most recent Lush runs a sampler of Jasmine and Henna hair treatment. Long story short if worked out so well on taming down my unmanageable frizz, that I may have a larger tub. And I love it! 😄

My favorite is Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze. Its super hydrating and softening and my hair is super shiny afterwards. I have super dry and curly hair and this stuff is AWESOME for that. I put on a shower cap and a winter cap and keep it on all night snd wash it out in the morning.

Why doesn't Lush NA have the new naked skin cleansers & moisturisers? Why isn't that something that Lush NA explores as well?
@noamhaim76596 жыл бұрын
I agree, but they do have a naked facial serum called "Full of Grace", it has Jojoba oil to really moisturize the skin and also tons of fresh portabella mushrooms to provide antioxidants to the skin. This product can also be used before a face mask to prevent redness after removal.

These hair treatments are made to be single use, I'm glad that you get multiple uses but that would explain the short expiration date.

@TracyD23 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about cetearyl alcohol that’s actually good for your hair. It is a fatty alcohol not like isopropyl or ethanol. It just has -OH group on the end that’s why it is named that.

How on earth is it self-preserving after you've added water? The whole sales pitch of 'self-preserving' is the product doesn't need a broad spectrum preservative because it is either a waterless formula or the consumer adds water per use. Once you add water you've created the conditions for bacteria and mould to grow even if you keep it in the fridge. Refrigeration will just slow down bacteria growth it won't stop it. There is no way a product with that much fat in it will not have a sizable bacteria culture after a month of refrigeration. If you want to sell waterless products that's fine but telling people to keep them hydrated and unpreserved for a month presents a far greater health hazard then the preservatives ever have.
