Nice pal. U using a similar setup that I have in mind! I want to route various external hardware synths etc live to a mixer. Live jamming and recording basically! I find this is s great way for structuring stuff. Actually getting takes down and then fixing it up later. I find structures comes good with feel and improvising. The mixer needs to have mutes though. I'm surprised mutes are overlooked so much and seem to be overlooked by designers of cheaper mixers. Do u recommend a good mixer? Do you think it's vital that each channel has an individual out? And what are your thoughts on using the keystep,beatstep pro and engine to drive my synths Juno 106 ( I love this synth so much) and various other analogue stuff, drum machines etc. What would u recommend to be a master midi seq/rec for my gear an engine or keystep pro or beat step pro or a combination of both? Oh, I need a good sampler poss with seq that has long playback length and plays back one sample chromaticaly with good polyphony. The world seems to have forgot about audio sampling machines and just heavily catering for drum manipulation hardware.i wish the electron Digi was polyphonic. The akai studio or live? The electribe 2 hasn't got long for sample length and the volca even less. I hope u could answer a few of my questions be it you have time. I would very much appreciate it. You seem a like minded person to ask pal. Hope you don't mind 🙂 Im getting back into electronic music production again after being unwell for a long time and I can't explain how excited I am and watching these videos fuels my fire! I want my work flow to be fun, using my ears just and getting lost in the music. I'l keep laptops,pcs for the final mixing editing etc.for me I'm only going to use software to create my samples and organising the final production. I feel I do my best work spontaneously and without a computer? It's actually funny how a pc can trap or distract u so much without realising it. It must be kind of multi tasking the brain as eyes are being used. We just mostly need are ears for creating although still want to keep my eyes. Cheers pal let me know!
