That's why he forces a new "family", Moxxie and Millie as coworkers he can use to live out his romantic ideations through while being their employer and Loona as an adopted daughter in his mind means she's forced to love him. With him as the figurehead he believes this family can't leave him. Blitz has levels and levels of trauma and issues.

Fun fact: while asmodeus is one of the seven deadly sins. He is also a King of the Ars Goetia in the Lesser Key of Solomon. The Goetic seal can be seen in the platform of Ozzie's club. Furthermore, Asmodeus is familiar with Stolas, who is also part of the Ars Goetia. ( although it’s still unclear if he’s at least related to the ars goetia).

Stolas and Blitz’s arrangement per episode one, was one of mutual benefit. Blitz get the use of Stolas’s book, in exchange for returning it on the full moon each month, followed by a night of passionate fornication. Problem is Stolas starts developing real feeling for Blitz, but Blitz is self destructive, and can see Stolas’ feelings as more than their arrangement. (There’s more to Blitz’s problems, but that’s for later, spoilers and all). So there’s blame to pass on both Blitz and Stolas both, for their relationship problems.

Also, during the part when Asmodeus called out Stolas he looked away from him, unlike Moxxie and Millie. Millie stood up for Moxxie even after being called out and laughed at. However, Stolas hid his face when he was called out for being with one of the lower class, an Imp. So to Blitzø that was basically confirmation that Stolas didn’t love him. Hence why he said what he said before he drove off. Also, notice when he gets to his apartment that in all of the photos strewn throughout his place he’s scratched out of all of them. Also, further showing how Blitzø views Stolas, Blitzø’s first pic in his phone is of him being in bed with a sleeping Stolas. Showing that he does actually love him. When you go back and watch it with Rich look at how Stolas addresses Blitzø. He always seems to be demeaning towards him, even though we know he’s not trying to be. That’s exactly what Blitzø sees though. Which is why in his dream sequence in the last episode he sees Stolas and thinks of himself as being in chains. More like Stolas is controlling him, but he sees him on a golden throne showing that he thinks very highly of him.

In addition to the psychological issues that Blitzo has that makes him sympathetic here, it should be noted that Stolas had a subtle but powerful moment of twisting the knife in Blitzo's back. Blitzo, when those he cares about (Moxxie and Millie) were being belittled, stood up for them despite dreading coming face to face with Fizzarolli. When Ozzie was saying he couldn't believe that Stolas had given up his wife, kid and life in general to be with a pathetic little imp like Blitzo, rather than standing up for him, Stolas hid behind his menu, not even willing to look at Blitzo. That is a clear message to Blitzo that Stolas is ashamed to be associated with him.

Also Blitzo views his relationship with Stolas as not much more than a fling which is a belief Stolas sadly reaffirms for him when he doesn't challenge Asmodeus who frames it that way.

I think something to note is there’s a huge inherent class/power dynamic between Stolas and Blitz. Stolas is a Duke of Hell in charge of important monthly rituals and Blitz is just an imp, quite literally the lowest rank of being in Hell. While Stolas very clearly has a thing for him, Blitz (despite his emotional trust issues) sees this as him just being some rich boys fuck doll of the week. He doesn’t open up to Stolas because why would someone like him genuinely be interested in Blitz?

I mean to be fair, Stolas literally brought this on himself (Blitzo's attachment issues didn't help mind you, but most of it's on Stolas.). The entire earlier part of the show up to this point other than when he saved the Imps from the humans, Stolas acted like a a sex-crazed maniac, treating him like a toy ,plaything/sexpet, hence Blitzo's response in saying how Stolas reminded him AND OTHERS of that every other time he was on screen in Blitzo's vicinity. You have to remember that Blitzo doesn't mind when Stolas is affectionate, like the were at the end of the last episode, but Blitzo finds Stolas's sex-maniac mentality utterly repulsive, case and point when he tells Luna to utterly destroy the phone Stolas uses to call him. The writers use this in a comedic fashion but Blitzo's response here shows he was written to take it to heart regardless of it being seen as "Just a funny bit".

My father died just before Thanksgiving 4 years ago, and I had Christmas dinner with my 88 year old mother in her nursing home yesterday. I don’t know how many years she has left, but when she goes, that will be the last of my family since both my parents were only children of immigrants- so I have no aunts, uncles, or cousins, and I also lost my only brother 20 years ago, and I’m not married. XD Honestly, I really loved that drunk ramble. And yeah, honestly, you can't blame Blitzo. They started not just roasting Blizto's flaws, but they basically called Stolas out for dating him and, despite how fucked the situation is, this would definitely be viewed as a moment for Stolas to prove to Blitzo that he views as more than a bedroom plaything... And Stolas just didn't. That doesn't make it Stolas' fault. Far from it. This was a much more powerful, much more influential person basically calling him out for what is considered a social taboo (a goetia dating an imp, people who are so low on the totem pole only Hell Hounds are considered below them). There really wasn't much else he could reasonably do, especially considering he himself is also dealing with issues and doubts.
