Bro, Laura Bailey was such a perfect casting for Lust in the dub. She really captures her calm yet sinister personality while also capturing her flirtatiousness. What's also jarring is that she also voices Tohru from Fruits Basket and Maka from Soul Eater. Just goes to show the range of voices she has.

When you've just discovered this character and one of your closest girlfriends is her real-life version, in *every. single. way.* From her hair colour + length + shape to her body, style, movements, allure, face shape and very sharp nails, often hidden by long black gloves (sometimes even wearing purple lenses too, and almost always red lipstick) 😳 even their voices have a similar langurous, yet threatening tone.

This is so painstakingly lame. The only thing "lust" about this character is her name and appearance. If it weren't for that, she's just a super lame regenerating character with fancy claws. Her motives and behaviour have nothing to do with the vice she supposedly personifies. This show kills braincells.

I don't know if you've read or watched fma: brotherhood. But for spoilers. The homunculi are parts removed from the main villain. It's assumed that the main villain wasn't really lustful so the lust they removed from themselves is weak in terms of representing their sin. It should be noted they are not truly the embodiment of the sins, they're what the main villain preserves and feels. You'll later see other sins do things that real embodiments of their vices wouldn't do. The other sins and characters are really well written, I'd recommend giving it another chance! :D

I definitely agree on the personification part. Every time the media makes seven-deadly-sin type characters, all of them exhibit their sinful behavior EXCEPT the "lust" character. They always make her just a sexy woman. Bummer That being said, FMAB is peak, and I heavily disagree that the show or characters (including Lust) are lame or "kill braincells".
