I agree. I made a fool of myself for loving a person with all my heart that I would have done anything for, and he knew that. Anyways, he broke my heart into pieces and the most hurtful truth is I still love him but he does not love me at all. I first heard this song when i was first alone during Christmas 13 years ago and listened to it every year hoping in the back of my mind to find my holiday love one day would arrive. And, when that person came I promised toshower them love. Ironically, the person decided to break up with me last December a few weeks before Christmas after i was going to suprise them with theri gift. Now when I hear this song it is no longer inspirational but a sad reminder like Luther that I am holding on to an impossible fantasy of waiting on someone who will never return back into my life. It is still a beautiful song, but I can't listen to it anymore without tearing up or crying.
