We had a blast at the 2023 Artisan Guitar Show in Harrisburg, PA, playing guitars and chatting with luthiers from all over North America and beyond! This time we're catching up with Parisian-born, Maine-based acoustic and electric builder, Laurent Brondel. Blending Sobell-inspired arched tops and backs with pre-war style build techniques, Laurent's guitars are lightweight and incredibly powerful, with a timeless tone and look that have been longstanding favorites for us. Here we learn about some of the other techniques and designs he's pulled in, focusing especially on the adjustable neck inspired by Rick Turner on his 2009 B-2c (available below). In addition to building gorgeous guitars, Laurent is a killer electric player, so be sure to follow him on Instagram!
