I gather they intentionally made replicants similar to humans in most ways so they wouldn't be too hard to neutralize if necessary. However, they did improve their strength (to do hard labour), stamina and immunity (to work in hazardous environment) and some perceptive abilities like speed reading (to retrieve information and study faster).

@@user-fh1do9xb4n well if they are fully biological then thats an easy one as respiration uses oxygen because its the most efficient way of (long story short) getting the energy from different molecules. if they didnt use oxygen the replicants would not have enough energy to throw people around like fkn frisbees, as for why they can take a punch like nothing but still have the proportions of a human with no visible upgrades thats a mystery to me.

@@user-fh1do9xb4n humans use up their glucose stores after about 16 hours of not eating, a faster metabolism would mean these guys would need to have a perfect food schedule at all times in order to not lose weight. muscles are already at a good place in humans, but if you dont care about how well a replicant can write or aim i suppose you could give them more slow twitch muscle fibres (muscles for doing heavy duty shit like throwing Harrison ford about). better bone structure could work if you programmed your replicant with either a dna substitute or a mixed up genome which programs for the same thing, as both ways of making stronger bones, being reinforced with metal and making them thiccer, makes us worse are making certain immune cells. having a genome which viruses cant use could plug that hole. the nervous system is similar speed to a computer so not rly much that could be improved there, other than brain processing, which if you were to do that you could also reasonably improve the iq parts of the brain. if you go down that road you reach the runaway iq effect where you could produce a smarter being that learns how to make smarter beings, which is why ai is so scary to most people. think that but in the shape of a human. again gonna repeat the fact that this is sci fi so its kinda like debating how magic would work, but still fun to talk about

Strong men are attracted to delicate, feminine women. Weak men are attracted to strong, masculine women. Feminine women tend to be attracted to masculine men. Strong women are almost always attracted to weak men. Think of the Leonard/Penny types vs the football player/cheerleader. It’s almost like nature always finds a way to balance things out, you rarely see two of the same personality types dating: strong/strong or weak/weak. Even LGBT couples seek out the same, a dominate partner vs the more traditional partner. Luv was a masculine personality exhibiting traits commonly found in the male gender, Joi on the other hand had a very feminine personality. K was a strong, masculine male and would never favor a female like Luv over Joi. You see, there needs to be balance in everything or it throws off the natural order, which results in chaos and resentment. This is one of the main dilemmas affecting our society today, women are being groomed to take on more masculine traits while men are being groomed to take on more feminine traits. This elitist agenda is causing a unbalance and friction among the genders, this tension is resulting in a increase in divorce, a decrease in childrearing, and a rise in depression among males. This kind of anarchy benefits the state greatly, but it is detrimental to the population’s morale. We see this mindset in movies like Blade Runner where the future world is childless and a bleak dystopia. The closest companion you have is a artificial intelligence, yet flesh and blood relationships are avoided if possible. Joi is shown to be the perfect women because that is what a perfect women was once considered to be. It wasn’t until recent decades that culture started to groom women to seek out more masculine roles and traits, the same goes for men and feminine traits, this bait and switch has only hurt society and caused a rise in depression among unwed singles. Blade Runner 2049 is not only a critique on society’s obsession with technology, but also the danger in blurring the lines between gender roles and confusing artificial companionship with love.

When they reach the shore they both assume 2 postures, both of them are positions in the Islamic prayer. Deckard assumes the "Ruku" and K "Tahahshud." In Ruku we say "Sami Allahu liman Hamidad" Allah listens to those who praise Him, And in Tahashud "Rabda Thirilly."
