Luv still considers K as family, and Joi is an example of the product identity Luv is trying to destroy. Joi provided her the distinction to save K's life. This isn't what K wanted like the ads for Joi promote, this is what he needed. Both surpassed their programming.

Just an amazing movie. I usually get irritated by how silly and hard to believe many American movies of this genre and scale are, but this one is just a masterpiece. Maybe too mature, too focused on the atmosphere instead of the action for the average viewer - that's why it wasn't a great financial success I guess.

The Human operatives were spectacularly stupid. First they almost kill their target with the missile strike … if *K* hadn't crash tackled Deckard he would've been in the kill zone. And then they ignore the combat Replicant _designed to kill other Replicants,_ or at least treat him like a Human opponent. Even though they should have been briefed on him. They were lucky, not only to have a combat model with them as well to save them (after he'd effortlessly killed most of them), but that K had been severely injured in the blast. If K didn't have a large piece of shrapnel in his guts and instead been at full efficiency, he could have gunned down Luv and then wiped them all out. Luv likes to think she's the best, but she's also designed for diplomacy and marketing, a general fixer … he's just combat and investigation, he can send her flying with a punch just due to being lager and male. The only reason she was a threat to him both times is because he was injured enough to drop a Human (he got shot again in the same spot just before their final fight - and he was still healing from this one). How many rogue Replicants has she killed in hand to hand combat?
@Travis_Trauma

Well, considering they were hired to kill an LAPD special agent, they were probably not-so-bright mercenaries who were not properly briefed.

No, what’s stupid is thinking they would ever create combat synthetics in a female model. The male form is more realistic when it comes to taking a beating, housing muscle, and being a workhorse, as opposed to the female form which has delicate features and sensitive skin. I’ve served next to women in the military and they make the worst soldiers imaginable. Look at it like this, instead of being concerned with combat, they are bleeding machines that whine about everything and cause problems among the male soldiers because they sleep around. I never met a female soldier that wasn’t screwing at least half the men in her unit. This isn’t personal opinion either, everything I said is cold hard truth, people just don’t want to hear it.

@@82pythons85 You're an absolute clown dude LMFAO. " The male form is more realistic when it comes to taking a beating, housing muscle, and being a workhorse, as opposed to the female form which has delicate features and sensitive skin." This is Blade Runner, not real life... Replicants, regardless of gender, are the same strength if they are the same model. They're designed almost the same exact way, the "form" makes little difference." This is a fictional world, not real life. Has nothing to do with Blade Runner whatsoever. "I’ve served next to women in the military and they make the worst soldiers imaginable. Look at it like this, instead of being concerned with combat, they are bleeding machines that whine about everything and cause problems among the male soldiers because they sleep around. I never met a female soldier that wasn’t screwing at least half the men in her unit." Holy shit someone hurt you and now you seemed to have adopted this bitter mentality towards women that borders on manosphere bullshit. Can you project any harder? *This is Blade Runner... not real life, nor the military.* "This isn’t personal opinion either, everything I said is cold hard truth, people just don’t want to hear it." No, this is 100% your anecdotal experiences that you've convinced yourself is reality and you will not accept any sort of nuance. Dude it's hilarious seeing you go on a tangent about how unrealistic Blade Runner's replicants are when its a fictional world. It's not Blade Runner's fault you've had shitty experiences with female soldiers or women in general. Seriously, go to therapy, the KZbin comments aren't your personal diary or therapist. It's so obvious that you're projecting here.

Replicants are capable of breaking through solid walls and bending metal, they were literally designed for manual labor and K is designed for fighting but still has those old traits. A pair of handcuffs wouldn't do shit.
@ChainsawGutsFuck
@ChainsawGutsFuck Жыл бұрын
@@gorlab9549 K is specifically designed to retire older replicants who are still many times stronger than humans; we see in his brawl with Sapper Morton at the start of the film that he's easily stronger than an older military combat model and doesn't show any pain response to being smashed through a wall, strangled or stabbed with a scalpel. He overwhelms Sapper with relative ease when he realises there's only going to be one outcome. Luv's major weakness is her sadism, or complete lack of empathy; she's on par with K's model in terms of physical strength and speed, but she's prideful "in the moment" which ultimately gets her killed. Her cold logic is easily sidetracked by a desire to "play with her food".

The ending where Deckard and Rachel escape via car was vetoed by Ridley Scott. In The Final Cut the film ends with Deckard And Rachel leaving his apartment. Then credits role. The actual escape from LA is left ambiguous. So in this scene the Spinner is likely what Deckard escaped from LA with, or he somehow got it in the 30 years in between movies
