(2) I love how creative you are to match lyrics, like for "the sun goes down" when Bay is sad, and then using Emmett's confession, it's so awesome!! The "let's go somewhere no one else can see" is oh so sweet! I loved the scenes you chose for "glad you came" when they hug and he comes to the expo, and for "take you by the hand". Just a bit of trivia for you, did you know that all the actors that play deaf characters are deaf themselves. I love that they sought out deaf actors to try to make their portrayal as real as possible.

Yeah I was bored throughout the pilot too. I don't blame you. Almost didn't continue with the show but I decided to try to stick with it at least until episode 2 and then I got hooked. It gets better. You should really give the show another chance! I highly recommend it. ;)

Awww. What a great video. I think I've watched it like ten times already. I too think Bay and Emmett are endgame. No doubt about that. As far as what he did, I'm angry at him and disappointed, but I don't blame Bay AT ALL. I don't see how anyone could. Kinda baffles me that people think it was her fault. Not even. I think this next half will be difficult for them, but they will make it. Like Bookworm said, Emmett needs Bay and she makes him a better person and vice versa :)

I've heard the actress who plays Daphne speak outside of her character, and you wouldn't know the she was deaf, but I haven't looked much into any of that. I always appreciate when tv shows are actually legit when they use another language, because they don't have to be for the most part. I know some Japanese, and hearing real Japanese in American shows makes me happy, because I know they put in the effort to make it real.

gotcha. I know with some shows it takes me awhile to be completely set on a couple or I have some fandoms where I love the idea of certain characters with multiple other characters, even crossovers. They're fun. :) I agree that wilke has changed a lot for daphne and its really sweet, I kinda compare them in a way with andy & josh from kyle xy. How being with andy made josh change his ways and apply himself more. :)

Yeah getting inspired by songs for this show is really tricky for me too. I was shipping Travis/Daphne super hard especially around when they kissed and a couple episodes after that, and searched on fanfictionDOTnet and saw that Travis wasn't even a character listed as an option people could be writing about! So I submitted to the site that he should be added lol. ;) And they did kindly add him for me. I think I do have 2 Travis/Daphne song ideas. I'll try to make one of them within a month. ;)

I might be making a vid about the whole cast (all the characters) of Switched at Birth before the show comes back, and I was planning on probably adding the captions to all of my Switched at Birth videos. (Part 2 of my reply) was the right thing and I love that she did those things and Emmett was overreacting a bit with the amount of anger he seemed to have. I felt bad for him though. He was so upset. Cheating is never justified though. Break up with the person if you want to do that BEFORE having sex with someone else. And clearly he doesn't want to lose Bay. So seriously. I hope Bay forgives him but of course what he did was 100% his own fault and cheating like that is never justified.

Oh it sucked before, lol, I knew they needed to be changed um I think for the first one I had like the kiss in the sunlight from 1x08 when they're on the ground like the part at 0:40. Also idk I've met a few deaf people in real life and also some interpreters who aren't deaf but know the language - I've never heard a deaf person speak in real life though. But when I hear them speak on TV shows it's kinda obvious from the quality of their voice that they're deaf, it'd be so hard for a hearing person to properly imitate that and probably really hard to not be offensive in the process. I bet deaf people kinda make better actors, like how they explained the "poker superpower". ;)

I think the writing on this show is better than Gossip Girl and acting certainly comparable. :P I'd recommend giving it a second chance maybe. The pilot was a bit slow/boring but overall the show is worth watching. See thetrexandthejew's comments and my replies to her on this video - she just tweeted me and said now, since commenting, she's given the show a second chance and is loving it lol! :P And Bay is very different than April on Gilmore Girls.

I guess. I think it's more like your typical bad boy/good girl relationship - Josh is too sweet from the start. Wilke/Daphne to me are more like maybe Declan/Lori on Kyle XY than Josh/Andy... Declan also kinda didn't realize he was hurting Lori at first just like the moments Daphne's upset about Wilke on the show but ultimately it seems like Declan and Wilke grow as people sort of because of the girl and also kinda in general over the course of the show. :P

Oh yeah I'd be shocked to learn that a deaf character was played by a hearing actor. I thought it was kinda obvious they were deaf themselves - like Emma in season 4 of Heroes or Heather on 7th Heaven (and her mom) are also played by deaf actors. ;) You can tell because not too many people know American Sign Language if they aren't deaf and living in America themselves... or have some other personal investment in learning the language. I wonder why/how the actress who plays Regina knows it. ;)
