Snecx and Jake Hoback did a colab Buster that had a 4" blade. You can probably still find one somewhere I saw pics on AZ Custom Knives but it was already sold.

Disassembly issues are what makes CRK still big player in that game. I don't own any CRK, but I can admit that I like they use still bronze washers, solid stop pin and simple constructions, easy to maintain. I wish WE and other companies were lik that.

I own a couple and they don’t have captured pivots either my sebenza actually has more screws than this knife. My mini buster came apart just as easy but I guess they’re all different knives

How old is this design from WE? There is an almost identical design FreeTiger knife - FT601 and it's been available for some time now. Would be funny to see an expensive knife copying a cheap one for once.

The FreeTiger is a copy of the Snecx design plus I tested the D2 steel on the Freetiger FT601. It’s not D2. I reported that on my Batch 29 Knife testing results video. It’s really 420 stainless

I guessed the WE design is the original, just had to confirm. Would be quite funny if it was the opposite though. I had the Freetiger FT601 at some point, it is really a tank, whatever the steel is. Gave it to a friend who works construction. It is very usable as a small heavy duty construction knife, still serves him well. Cutting cement bags, isolation, etc.

@@limey8489 Detente is good, blade pretty much drops shut even though it's on washers. I have a lot of GT and the Buster is one of my favorites. I think GT took it as close to the original as they possibly could with excellent fit and finish, correct size, detente pin/lockbar interface, phosphor Bronze washers, M390, all for a reasonable price. Worth every penny I paid for it.

I picked up one on DHG because I liked the look, had no idea what it was based on. I guess it is a mini-mini buster, as it's not even 3". Heavy little guy too.

No detent hole? No D shaped pivot? Was VERY interested until those two facts popped up. Love the design and look and the double row bearings as well as, for me, it's the PERFECT EDC size. But no detent hole and no D shaped pivot...for $290!?!?!? Nope. Not gonna do it. Wouldn't be prudent.

Definitely send an email, check all avenues! When I found out about the Yeager M a couple months ago, it was also sold out everywhere. I put in for notifications of restock, and was amazed when I got an email just 30 minutes later. I think I got the only one found, because after I ordered it was out of stock again, and still is. I got the KnifeJoy exclusive with Damasteel. Love that knife.
