Lux Racing Films

This video contains digitized 8mm home movies of racing at Saugus Speedway, Ontario Motor Speedway and Riverside International Speedway. It's dedicated to my brother Carl Lux and his friend Norm Wareberg. Both drove stock cars at Saugus Speedway from the late 1950s until Saugus closed.
Unfortunately, most of the film is quite old and some had deteriorated quite badly but, hopefully, they will bring back some fond memories of racing at Saugus.
I named as many of the drivers I remembered and recognized many more but, unfortunately, I don't remember their names. At 80 plus years old, I still have a great memory. It's just short!!! If any of you recognize more of the drivers, please send me their names and car numbers and I will update the video to include them.

I miss Saugus Speedway. I'm still living here, 52 years and going. I remember hearing the loud engines in the eve from my house in Valencia Old Orchard One.

Awesome video, man! I remember going to Saugus with my dad and brother (Robert P down there ↓). Lots of great memories of that track. I remember sitting in the 71 car of Bob Hattig in his garage

Thank you I helped Carl Rouse with LSD car that a 57 Chevy red and when I better days off Carl and hippie would get the 11 s car ready and loaded for Saugus I also worked for U S Borax remember Borax Handcleaner I was giving large cans of that away plus giving it away as an award for the trophy dash
