I love this! I visited Bhutan in Feb 2018. It was one of the most worthwhile and interesting things I have ever done including hiking up to the Tiger's Nest. We stayed at the Nak Sel resort in Paro which is also spectacular. The architecture of Bhutan's homes and monasteries is the most beautiful in the world. That helicopter breakfast looked awesome. I hope I can return someday!

Stayed at 3 of the lodges... loved it. Half way around the world in the Himalayas staying in these lux lodges with maybe 16 other people were 4 people that lived less than 100 miles away from my home in Tennessee... The world is small!

Amankora lodges have accommodations for the guides and staff.

I suggest amankora to pay more rather then just exploiting the country and paying the local staffs very very less. Or else get out from Bhutan.
