You are correct. According to Luxpower battery compatibility chart the setting should be on 2(Pylon protocol) for shoto batteries.

Total novice here. I got mine working with a straight network cable. Battery type 2 Shoto SDC10-Box 5 Only works after pressing the reset button on the battery. Displays battery capacity as 50AH but that seems to happen with various brands of batteries.

@@tiaanbroodryk7879 unfortunately not. I get the same. 50Ah regardless of the battery brand as long as it communicates with the inverter. It adds 50Ah for every batter installed in parallel. So two batteries indicate 100Ah even though in reality there is 150Ah of batteries
