This is the material most homes in Africa should be built with. Just because it's "mud" doesn't mean it can't be modern. I hope this spreads. Awesome video Vanessa 👍

Adobe my dear.. Funny enough mud brick homes are built everywhere in the World but the World calls those homes Adobe and African homes are called Mud brick. The negative connotation being clearly present. So yes, African Adobe homes are quite stylish.

Lol the decorative bricks that allow air in are "breeze blocks" and the columns elevating the building are called "Pilotis". Togo's beaches are absolutely clean. The only thing is one has to watch out for the jellyfish which wash up on the shore

This is the type of aesthetic that I really enjoy to live in. The beauty of the natural products is much more peaceful and relaxing. I am never impressed with the super concrete buildings in Africa, it feels to me as out of place. I hate air conditioners and there are some many clever ways to build without being so dependent on electricity. I hope more developers would have this vision. 👏👏👏👏❤️🇧🇷

Please Vanessa, when you guys are referring to African countries that have their own languages butt happens to speak other foreign languages - like English or French, please don’t refer to them as “English speaking or French speaking countries”. It comes across as though these countries don’t have their own languages. Please mention the name of the indigenous languages. Togo at least have an indigenous language. It’s very annoying when for example Ghana is referred to as an “English speaking country” though we have our own languages, but they are not even mentioned. How are you promoting Africa if you don’t even name any of our languages on camera. For those who have no knowledge of Africa, might think we still use the colonisers language, though we have OUR OWN LANGUAGES.! At times, we are our own worse enemies.
