I'm just coming across this video. it's interesting that the Harlem Candle Co. chose a Fornsetti ceramic vessel. Nice review... love Cire Trudon.

Thanks for checking out the video! I agree the ceramic vessel looks very similar to a Fornsetti candle! Price is much less though :)

About 10 years ago Bond No. 9 had a candle version of So New York which was - the most unbelievably chocolate scent ever, in any format. Much nicer than the So New York EDP. But of course it was discontinued. It was that candle that I was hoping to replicate when I ordered Speakeasy. It’s close, but not nearly as chocolate-centric.

I find the speakeasy diffuser comes off way more chocolatety than the candle for some reason.

I ordered today a candle from Trudon and now I see your video!!! WOW That is Serendipity!!😀 I want to buy the Harlem ones as well now although from what I see the packaging is completely different on their website. It is not reminiscent of the Fornasetti ones anymore, which I also love! The packaging of the Harlem ones now is similar to the Esna home candles. Mmmmh have you tried the Esna ones as well? Can you also tell me which one is the small blue candle behind you with the ornaments at the top? It looks lovely! Thank you! 💖

Trudon is divine! I just lit up one of their chocolate holiday candles from last year! The Harlem candle co has special packaging in the ceramic style but their regular line is colored glass!

Wow another comment from me haha!! I’m curious to know which brand you consider DOES have a consistently strong throw? So far I’m finding Byredo is pretty good but not great in terms of consistency / BIBLIOTHEQUE and Tree house are very strong, but Loose Lips almost scentless. Which is very frustrating in a $90 candle that tends to tunnel. I’ve read many many times that Trudon is very consistently very strong so I was interested to hear you say that it was “sort of” strong! Next on my list of supposedly very strong throw brands are Roja and Evermore London.

Trudon has been great so far. When I say sort of strong it is not a negative. There are some candles that are by nature "lighter and airer scents" or they just aren't as penetrating as others, but it is not that the candle doesn't carry. I suggest looking into a few brands that I've had good luck with so far: carriere freres, fvith, fornasetti.
